ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 09:11 PM) If Messi was terrible, I'd love to know what he needs to do to be good in your eyes. He wasn't terrible but he wasn't particularly good until that goal. He was dispossessed over and over and rarely looked a threat. Anyways, this tournament has been awesome to watch, pretty much every single game too. I'm also 14-4 betting on it so that's nice as well
cabiness42
Through 11 matches: S America 4-2 N/C America 2-1 Africa 1-1 Europe 4-5 Asia 0-2 Still no draws.
chw42
QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Messi seemed a little off, maybe trying to do too much with all the pressure on his shoulders. Wouldnt call him terrible. He was also triple teamed once he got near the box.
bmags
Anyone going to Grant Park to watch the game tonight?
RockRaines
Yes! Goal by Germany. Love how Portugal just runs up to the refs and chest bumps him. Right call, good goal

Ozzie Ball
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 04:29 PM) He was also triple teamed once he got near the box. Higuain's introduction helped him a lot. Created more space for him to work. Wouldn't have been able to score his goal without Higuain's run that drew two defenders away.

Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) I like Germany more than Portugal, but a draw is the best outcome for the US. I'm on the fence. Portugal winning would be the worst thing. A tie means only 2 points given out of a possible 3. But I'm cool for playing for second which means Portugal losing is best. I think they are probably closer to US and Ghana than to Germany (which says how good Germany is more than anything)

Ozzie Ball
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 05:18 PM) I like Germany more than Portugal, but a draw is the best outcome for the US. Disagree. Germany look to be the class of this group. I would expect them to win all three games comfortably. In the race for 2nd place it benefits the US if Portugal don't get anything here. Buehrle>Wood
Well it's 2 0 now. Might as well root for the 5-0 route at this point.

If you think the US has a chance to win the group, sure. Realistically though, Germany routing Portugal & Ghana is the best result for the US. whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 11:38 AM) Yes! Red card for Pepe! This game could not be going any better. I wouldn't mind seeing Portugal pick up a few more cards and have Germany win about 6-0.
Soxbadger
I thought Portugal was slightly overrated coming in. I expect Germany to try and get up big so that they then can at worst draw out and advance.
Buehrle>Wood
This is a bloodbath. 3 to 0 and it's not even that close. Remind me of France 2010. Doesn't look like they are trying in the least bit
LittleHurt05
Ronaldo is getting subbed out for the 2nd half. Smart move by the coach, but sucks for the US, could have used his hammy to flare up again.

caulfield12
That game got ugly fast. Sucks for the fans...most of the games have been hard-fought and fairly close, with the exception of Spain/Netherlands in the 2nd half and that one was entertaining just because it was a bit unexpected. Buehrle>Wood
Don't see Essien and Muntari for Ghana according to their lineup making the rounds on Twitter. Basically their 2 marquee players. T I would think that's a big surprise but don't know enough about what lineups they've been using.
