knightni
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 07:29 PM) Agree too. Outside chance he could even make it to Chicago at the end of the year as well. A rotation consisting of Sale, Quintana and Rodon? I like. Has a team ever succeeded with 4 lefty starters?
Soxfest
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 06:29 PM) Even if it's 500k over, it's definitely worth the risk. I agree

DirtySox
I don't like this pick for the Cubs at all. I get the point of saving money for later, but not huge on that player.
Kalapse
Where does Rodon fall on BA's top 100 list next year? Gray was #12, Appel was #39 and Stewart #52 this year.

caulfield12
Just glad it's over. Let's start to work on getting that fastball back to a plus pitch, and improving the change-up. Cuban Connection adds #5.
fathom
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 12:30 AM) Seems like the draft never really works out how we Sox fans want it, well it f***ing worked out this year we'll see if it pans out! This is one of those moves that even if Rodon is a complete bust, no one should complain about the Sox drafting him. It's 100% the right move. chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) Has a team ever succeeded with 4 lefty starters? Better question, has a team with a decent offense and a 1,2,3 as good as Sale, Q, and Rodon (could be) ever failed? I mean that's like Braves 90's all over again dominant front line staff. Rowand44
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) Has a team ever succeeded with 4 lefty starters? Probably not cause it's hard to find 4 good left handed starters. If they're all good who cares what hand they throw with?

caulfield12
Wasn't everyone basically saying Pentecost was the only one likely to stick at C of the top 3? They already have so many bats, Bryant/Baez/Soler/Rizzo, etc. Unless he's going to stick at catcher, it's not a very good pick. Where are they going to play all those guys? southsider2k5
JJ Cooper @jjcoop36 5m Confident that Gordon going to Twins at No. 5 which was rumored by everyone coming in. Draft set up well for them.
