Kalapse
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 07:03 PM) It's quite surreal that that is actually something that has happened. Well put

Bigsoxhurt35
@scotgregor: RH hitters vs. White Sox LH starters this season: Sale (.160 BA), Danks (.242), Quintana (.265)
chitownsportsfan
Huh the guy fangraphs has doing their draft chat says he has Rodon 1-2 on his board this year (with his current stuff) and that even with his minor blip this year in velocity and numbers he would have been 1-1 last year. Interesting, seems the Sox got a helluva talent here.
Heads22
Could the idea behind taking him there is that he may sign for under slot value there and then they can pay less for whoever they take at 11?
flavum
Still would like to know what would have happened if Aiken-Rodon went 1-2.
beautox
can't believe we landed Rodon and we didn't even have to be as s***ty as the astros to make it happen. The future is bright with Sale, Quintana, Rodon and if one of Danish or Montas can make it and Johnson can refind his fastball and command money! That saved the board months and months of debating Nola vs. Kolek, that's for sure. It saved thousands of keystrokes for TUC and Marty34. hi8is
Wonder if there's no indication to Kolek or Rodon not being interviewed yet.
GGajewski18
Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo · 19m #Phillies take @AaronNola10 at 7. Hearing #WhiteSox preferred him to Kolek at 3, could have taken him but couldn't pass on Rodon There ya guys go

DirtySox
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 07:12 PM) Gotta imagine we go bat, likely college at 44, don't we? They need to go BPA still. Though they might be looking at the few talented college seniors in order to save money to pay Rodon.
southsider2k5
SoxNet.net @SoxNet 9s It'll be telling to see what the Sox do with at #44. Do they overdraft to go underslot to free up $$ for Rodon?
caulfield12
It is curious the reasons/excuses for why Rodon and Kolek weren't available (at least so far) tonight. Let's hope getting passed over and falling to 3 gives Carlos even more incentive to prove critics wrong. Break out the Rodon/Abreu/Ramirez/Viciedo posters, marketing department. ChiliIrishHammock24
Next best catcher available is either Jakson Reetz or Chase Vallot. We got 31 picks to get through. I'm hoping one of those guys (Reetz) is there for us.
