Not necessarily pertinent to today's slate of action, but Trey Michalczeski is moving away from the singles and walks hitter he had been in the early going. 9 XBH in his last ten games (6 2B, 3B, 2HR). Hitting .382 with an OPS of 1.227 during that span. .286/.373/.437/.810 slash on the year. His splits, as a switch hitter, are nearly identical despite a small sample size batting righty. I am really excited about getting really excited about this kid. He is profiling as a Chase Headley type and I love the fact that he's still pretty athletic as third-baseman. I'd be really interested in seeing some scouts touch on his defense.

I completely agree. He has me all kinds of excited.

Andre Wheeler is throwing for Kanny today. He's quietly been great ever since he was drafted last year. He'll be 23 in September so it'd be good to see him get challenged soon.

I've been high on him since the beginning of the year. I think he has earned himself a promotion.

And Trey hit a 2 run HR today lol.

Tyler Danish scoreless first, Tim Anderson leadoff double

The ball is jumping off of Anderson's bat right now. He has the look of an extra-base machine. If/when he refines his plate discipline he is going to be something.

Anderson Homer.

There's really no question that Anderson is our #2 prospect after Rodon and by quite a bit of margin. Both guys should finish in the top 50 prospects at a minimum and both have top 10 overall potential (probably not this year, but possibly after 2015).

The overall system is still pretty week, but the top 10 to 15 guys make up a pretty good group of prospects and eventually the Latin American signings will start having a presence over here. System is definitely on the up-swing but it still has ways to go until becomes top 10 worthy.

3 HRs, 6 2Bs and a 3B over his last 10.5 games. I'd say that's pretty good.

Anderson, Danish and Michalczewski all having promising first halves to highlight Rick Hahn's first draft class.

That class and this years could set up Rick very nicely. Well see though.

Anderson also has made an error. Barnum doesn't do him any favors at first, but he may have to be moved to CF. Ironic because he has the same stance as Mike Cameron. Less patience, but better hitter for average and I think about the same type of XBH power.

As far Danish goes, I'll be surprised if he is a starter in MLB. His stuff is just a tick below where you'd like it.

Tim Anderson's last 14 games:

3-5

2-5, 2B

2-4, 3B

3-5, HR

0-5, SF

4-5, 3B

1-5

2-4, 2B, BB

3-5, 2B, 2B

0-4

2-5, 2B

2-4, 2B

2-4

2-2, 2B, HR

.451/.460/.726

This makes me think he's our best farm position player, then I see all the Es he racks up, lets home he can move to the OF

Sounds like it was a dinger and a half

Winston-Salem Dash @WSDashBaseball 55m

Tim Anderson CRUSHES the first pitch of the 3rd for a homer. It's 4-1 Dash through 3. Anderson has 16 multi-hit efforts in his last 24 games

Cespedes Family BBQ @CespedesBBQ 1h

#WhiteSox shortstop prospect Tim Anderson just DESTROYED a ball deep to left field. Probably the farthest HR we've seen on the trip #DINGERS
