Darling gives up a lot of meaty rebounds. Also his long legs give him range from post to post but he is very weak on the five hole. Not sure he's more than a backup at best. More likely he's Rockford fodder.

on nhl.com they had the series of the shoot out of last nite game.

I notice that in 2 of the shooters, they were aiming for Darling 5 hole. trying

for him to move and expose it. not a bad strategy.

ref Bickell, it looked as his stats were showing that he was off to a nice

gaem. 1g 1a and hits, not bad. but he did have that give away.

Versteeg, good game. ohhh how that pains me to write that. but the

Hawks won.

That was some really nice skating on his goal.

The #Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Scott Darling to Rockford. http://onego.al/DD8Fb

Yesterday did him in. As big as he is between the pipes he leaves a huge 5 hole at times. Sens were aiming there almost every shot of the shootout.

He's an AHL lifer or career backup at best, which is fine by me, I would rather him sit on the bench to backup CC and Raanta play everyday but oh well.

too bad i notice that he has a lightning fast glove hand.

kind of remind me of ken dryden.

eddie the eagle had the same problem, when he was in denver in

college i can't remember if it was him or the coach told him to play

somewhat from his knees when the other team on in the zone.

danm about darling. very quick glove hand.

I saw indefinitely. How bad did it look

Emelin (Mon D man) hit Sharp into the boards, and it looks like Sharp's knee went pretty hard into the boards from the hit.

Sharp hardly put any pressure on his knee coming off the ice and to the locker room.

so the Hawks won and big. that it great and with a shut out.

in the injury rpt, sharp has no rtn date. that means its bad. well

like someone said, its Tevo time. I wonder which line they put him

in?

I wouldn't mind seeing Tevo with Kane and Toews, but then again, i am

not the coach.

i saw the Bickell didn't have his 5 hits he promise but he did have 2 assits.

i guess with a win and 2 assists, that might be a fair trade off.

Sounds like Sharp will be out at least a month.

whew..... that is good news. a month for the injury and 2 to 3 weeks to

get in game shape, sounds like xmas.

It depends on if they are willing to put on the long term injured list. If they do that, then they save enough cap room to call up someone good. If not, who knows.
