southsider2k5
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:12 PM) Obviously an autocorrect issue. Not that, more like WTF is Cleveland doing? John Starks busy?

bmags
QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:16 PM) Is Mirotic our starting sf going forward? To reverse myself one day later, it's looking more likely. At very least, something I would have never imagined: Thibs seems to like him enough that closers include Niko, Noah, Pau. Dun Dun wasn't closing. Kirk was, Niko is the new closing SF?
southsider2k5
QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:16 PM) Is Mirotic our starting sf going forward? The great part is that Thibs can throw dozens of possible combo's out there to close games, and not need to worry about it. How many teams are legitimately two deep at every single position on the floor, with starter calibur players? The Bulls really are.
justBLAZE
I'm not sold on them just yet. I think the only thing that's stopping me is last two years disappointments.

How many teams are legitimately two deep at every single position on the floor, with starter calibur players? The Bulls really are. In the past fouR games, we have closed with a lineup of Rose-Brooks-Kirk and then Niko-NoahGasol. That's some awesome versatility (minus Kirk). fathom
It's amazing watching this Bulls team where Rose is clearly not one of their two best players. Butler deserves MVP consideration.
kev211
I'll never rip on the bulls front office again. Ever, the majority of this team was drafted by them. You cant blame them for free agents spurning them. Edited January 6, 2015 by kev211

bmags
Niko really is gonna be something. Playing on a team like this is also a perfect fit, he looks like he's loving it.
MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) It's amazing watching this Bulls team where Rose is clearly not one of their two best players. Butler deserves MVP consideration. If Derrick stays healthy, he'll eventually get back to his former MVP level, then this team will be insanely good. It'll be over for the NBA if Jo gets healthy and plays like last year's version.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 06:28 PM) Waiters just got traded to OKC. OKC gave up nothing, Cavs get iman stumpers and jr smith Reggie Jackson is nothing? As far as I'm concerned, the Knicks robbed everyone blindly. Chisoxfn
QUOTE (bshah723 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 08:40 PM) Knicks didn't get Jackson. Oh, when I was driving in my car, ESPN radio reported that Jackson was going to the knicks. I heard that and was like, wow, that is incredible. I don't understand what the Cavs are doing. Maybe they are just going to cut Smith and figure Shumpert isn't a bad fit.

You cant blame them for free agents spurning them. But everyone should complain about Tony Snell and Marquis Teague. Those are more indicative of their drafting ability than Butler, Gibson, Mirotic, Noah and Rose.
thxfrthmmrs
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 10:41 PM) Oh, when I was driving in my car, ESPN radio reported that Jackson was going to the knicks. I heard that and was like, wow, that is incredible. I don't understand what the Cavs are doing. Maybe they are just going to cut Smith and figure Shumpert isn't a bad fit. Smith is essentially Waiters, but more efficient, believe it or not. They badly need a strong perimeter defender, and Shumpert fits the bill. A combo of Lebron-Shumpert-Kyrie is more versatile than Lebron-Kyrie and Marion/Mike Miller. I don't get the deal for OKC. They didn't give up much for Waiters, but they have no use for the guy and the trade pretty much puts them over tax apron.

I don't really understand Waiters for the Thunder though. They already have Jeremy Lamb, who's actually better than Waiters. They also have Reggie Jackson, who's also better than Waiters. Why get someone who's not that good and redundant for your team? Edited January 6, 2015 by chw42

Wow I don't understand the Thunder trading anything for Waiters, that said, JR Smith is a net negative in the trade, so I see how it made sense in terms of what the cave got back.
