Bulls may be worse, or they may just be grindier. I'm sure the offense wouldn't be the joy it has been for MOST games this season.

Mirotic working out so far is such a boon. His value was always hit because you couldn't REALLY count on anything. But he has just an incredible work ethic and set of skills, he's going to be at the least a borderline all star eventually.

So Wiggins is starting to turn it on. Over the last 30 days, he's basically averaging 18-5-2 on 46% shooting with 1.3 threes and .6 blocks (yes, I play fantasy). He's scored at least 20 in 7 of his last 8 games. He kind of needs to carry this draft class since everyone else is hurt.

Hey now, Jurko Nurkic isn't hurt!

Cavs fans are gonna hate that Wiggins/KLove trade sooner rather than later.

Meh. Love has been a bit disappointing, but he's still averaging 18 a game on only 13 shots and rebounding well. They needed a big at some point. There's also a decent chance that Lebron knew that deal was in the works when he agreed to sign there. Wiggins would still need to get a lot better or Love would have to leave for them to "hate" the deal.

And next year when he is playing somewhere else (which will be the case if they don't at least make the final), they will be hating it even more.

As I said, if Love leaves, then that will be a disaster. I have no inside information on that front.

Love is also overrated, imo. He is not a top 10 player in this game. Doesn't do enough to make others better and can't make the playoffs on his own. Look at Minny, they should be exstatic at the results of that trade (and this is just in yr 1 of Wiggins). That said, if the Cavs figure things out and win, than Cleveland shouldn't have anything to worry about.

And you could talk about LBJ having an idea about the trade happening or not, but bottom line, trade hadn't been made and LBJ was on your roster, so you were under no obligation to trade him. Could he get pissed and opt out, sure, but you still need to make whatever you think is the best basketball move. Judging by a lot of the moves the Cavs keep making, I don't know that they know what that is. There doesn't seem to be a plan other than keep throwing guys in who don't necessarily fit. Outside of having LBJ, they seem to be making Isiah Thomas-esque moves.

All that said...I'm probably jinxing it and they will end up looking like geniuses.

It seems to me like all that mileage on Lebron is finally catching up to him. Is that going to stop him from playing elite ball? No. But he can't win games singlehandedly anymore. He can't play lock down defense for 7 games. Unless Cleveland gets bigger and their defense improves, they're getting beat by the Bulls, Raptors, Hawks or Wizards.

Anyone else at the point with me that says the top of the East really isn't that far off the top of the West? I feel like the Bulls, Raptors and Hawks would compete pretty well in the West.

Derrick Rose is now 28-of-110 from the field in his last six, so yeah, he might want to pass the ball more.

In his last six games, Rose's usage rate (29.7) is greater than his effective field goal percentage (27.3), which is actually hard to do for that many games. He has more misses in his last five games (67) than DeAndre Jordan does all season. :o

Let him get it all out of his system. I am happy we are past the Scared Derrick stage, and into the I Want To BE MVP again stage. This is the time of year for him to get the rust off.

Really...Rose was the one guy on the team not to show up. If so, pathetic (so you could rest...please...you can go to the white house and still walk at your kids graduation in 20 years). If other players weren't there, I don't have a problem, but if everyone else took part and you weren't sick or something, I don't like it.

Much like the way he plays, Rose operates separate of the team.

An hour trip is so taxing!

I agree with you, dickish move.
