And for those that like to mock me- "Kyrie and Love have never been to the playoffs", "The Cavs will struggle in year one", "Cleveland won't be good enough defensively". GMAB. They have LeBron. LeBron is 4 wins away from basketball immortality (and he knows it).

He's about to go 2 for 6 in the Finals. Please tell me more about basketball immortality.

Ah yes nothing like reading J4L posts about sniffing Lebron's nutcheese.

LeBron is four wins from locking in a top five spot and four losses from locking himself out of a top five spot.

To carry that Cavs team to the finals is incredible but would anyone argue that this maybe the worst Eastern Conference playoffs ever? The past decade plus has been bad but this season has been the worst I can remember.

Nah. Definitely not worse than that stretch of Eastern teams from the early 2000s.

It's a shame for Atlanta they peaked when they did back in December / January. It really gave the other teams 3-4 months to work out their weaknesses, and then with Carroll not at 100% and Korver going down, they never really had a chance.

I suppose a lot of the time it does come down to getting hot at the right time.

One of the more interesting things I have seen debated is that the Jordan vs LeBron debate has been being framed wrongly. The focus has been primarily on who each guy had on their team. Change the focus to who each guy has beaten on in the playoffs. Look at how many Hall of Famers and top 50 all time players Michael Jordan beat on the way to his 6 titles. How many future HOFers do you think LeBron has beaten?

Are we talking title runs only, I assume? Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Pierce, Garnett, Allen, Melo, Durant and possibly Westbrook all come to mind. Gasol and Steph Curry could be added to that list this year depending on how things play out.

Although Durant, Westbrook, Parker, and Melo were the only ones close to their peak at time. Even then Westbrook and Durant were in their very early 20s I think. You could throw Harden in there as well since he was on that okc team, although not nearly as good as he is now.

After speaking to multiple sources, it’s clear there’s growing a sentiment that the Bulls/Thibs situation will reach a conclusion this week.

so he gone and hoiberg coming as expected?

Atlanta was one of the elite/efficient offenses in the league. Cleveland's D has just swallowed them whole for the most part. Thompson/Shumpert in the starting lineup has improved their defense tremendously.

Cleveland played well but Atlanta also played about as poorly as possible. Their shooting was atrocious, I don't know how many wide open looks they missed. Korver was off all playoffs, Teague missed about half of his layups, and they never seemed to look in cohesion all playoffs long.

too bad thought he'd fit nicely with the Pelicans

Woj said there's no reason for him to take just any job. Wait for the right opportunity. He's not a real young guy.

Dirk too. At best though, how many of those would land in the top 50? Duncan, Dirk, Garnett. That's probably it right? Durant maybe, but not yet, and who knows how that foot will hold up.

He lost to Dirk.

He's trumped Duncan/Parker/Manu 1-3. The Celtics trio he was 1-2 against. He beat Durant-Westbrook-Harden (who was nothing like the current Harden). Didn't beat Rose or Gasol in a title year (unless he wins this year). Beat Melo.

So Melo, Durant, Westbrook, Harden. Rose and Gasol if he wins this year.

An NBA big shot who I know and trust just told me a coach is getting fired in next couple days, and nobody sees it coming.

-Sheridan

If it's Budenholzer like I'm thinking, Bulls better have that s*** on speed dial.

There's no way it's him. How would that make any sense? He has only been there for two years and he won 60 games with an ECF appearance in year two.

I hope you're right though.

New owners want their own guy. Certainly would not be the first time
