Karma for what? The hat thing? Illini fans are petty. The kid is 19. I can't believe people are really happy to see bad things happen to him. It's kind of sad actually.

Oh please, no one is saying he should be killed in an accident or anything.

Karma for choosing another school of course!!!

More for being a dick about it, less about choosing a different school. Trust me, Illinois has lost out on a LOT of guys and there's not the same (or any) animosity towards them.

True, Illinois fans always loved Eric Gordon.

He can go play in Europe, sad is a young kid with cancer not some guy not playing in the NBA.

Haha not getting drafted is wishing "bad things" happen to him? Come on now.

Cliff is an idiot. He deserved to go undrafted. Self went to bat for him for no reason, even though Cliff and co screwed Kansas over too. Cliff then responds by trashing the Jayhawks to NBA teams. Shocker, this was a big turnoff.

No one said him not playing in the NBA is sad. Their point is that not only did he not get drafted but people are actually happy about it.

Damn, I thought the Bulls had the the full MLE and would have a an outside shot at Wes Matthews. Just the mini MLE......Bellineli?

Bulls' FA plan pretty transparent: Get Butler done. Bid for Dunleavy. Sign guard with exception, likely MMLE.

So what are the Bulls going to do in Free Agency?

Taj Gibson is probably the one most in play here, especially after the drafting of Portis.

What would you be after in terms of a trade package, a future 1st rounder maybe?

And if I'm going to pick 3 Free Agents most likely to switch teams, it'll be Aldridge, Monroe and Tobias Harris.

Bulls offseason for me:

Re-Sign Butler

Trade Taj for a wing (Terrance Ross) Hypothetical

Sign Jameer Nelson with MMLE

Sign Ben Gordon and Caron Butler to the minimum

That's doable.

Taj's ankle surgery really f***ed things up for his value here. Its like Deng with his wrist injury(and not getting the surgery for it), you have this guy who should be worth much more than he is, and you end up dumping him for pennies on the dollar.

The next time a kid comes down to UIUC and KU, Groce will surely mention what happened to old Cliffy

That he got popped for improper benefits? Not sure how that changes the perception of the huge difference in quality of the two programs at the moment.

That he didn't get drafted. Groce will play it up like they did Chicago wrong.

Improper benefits may have hurt his stock but that's far from why he didn't get drafted. Nobody cares if you can play. Cliff made Cliff undrafted.

He played a partial season and that was on a hurt foot. If he played in the tournament, had no character flaws and didn't trash his program on the way out he gets drafted. It absolutely had a ton to do with why he wasn't drafted. And KU has head and shoulders a better draft record than Illinois does. Maybe the next head coach will play it up after Groce gets canned but it won't do much if anything. KU is a premier bball program.
