southsider2k5
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 10:39 AM) Did we start a game with a reliever this season? I don't recall one off the top of my head. Hector Noesi was a reliever all year before his starts, and then the decision to make him a starter. He also only started one game in 2013. Feeky Magee
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 09:42 AM) Hector Noesi was a reliever all year before his starts, and then the decision to make him a starter. He also only started one game in 2013. Yeah but that doesn't mean they're desperately stretching out a reliever, they see him as a starter. He's been a starting prospect most of his life. witesoxfan
Yeah, I think the goal the entire time for Noesi has been to use him as a starter. If not, they'd have removed him from the rotation for Carroll. (frankly, if you're going to use that argument with why Surkamp hasn't been given a chance in the majors, the same argument can be made for why Noesi is still in the rotation and why he's been in the rotation the entire time)
