Feeky Magee
Do we get to be excited about Kevan Smith yet? Dude is tearing up AA.
NorthSideSox72
I'm a professed Smith fan, I think he's definitely worth keeping in mind. IF it weren't for Phegley sitting in Charlotte, Smith would probably be headed there soon. He's hit at every level, has some power, his defense has improved... and his age/level issue was sort of a "we know" thing, as he was taken slowly due to rawness out of college. Plus he's a catcher, and they tend to go slower anyway. I'm on board.
royoung
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 12:20 PM) Do we get to be excited about Kevan Smith yet? Dude is tearing up AA. Also Rangel Ravelo. His OBP is around .400 and he already has a career high in homers this season. I remember Nathaniel Stoltz just gushing about watching him hit bombs in BP, he has the raw power, just taking awhile to develop.
Feeky Magee
Ravelo 2-3, 2 doubles
NorthSideSox72
Snodgress has been quietly improving. Still not striking out a ton of guys, but in 9 starts prior to this one, he had 38 K in 54 IP, vs 18 BB. Getting better.

Chicago White Sox
It's going to be interesting to see who gets the call if Beckham or Ramirez is traded.
ChiliIrishHammock24
Keon Barnum, have yourself a game dude. 3-3. Unfortunately they are all singles. Hitting .389 in the very brief 2nd half of this season.
ChiliIrishHammock24
3-3 now for Wilkins. Davidson drew a walk. 1-2, BB, HR, K now. True Outcome Performance.

Y2Jimmy0
Hawkins 2 run triple. As bad as Davidson has been, he's still going to hit 20 homers.

Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 08:44 PM) May has his average up to 240 now. Yeah, he's playing better but where has the power gone? He hit 8 HRs last year in like 200 ABs.
BlackSox13
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 08:50 PM) Yeah, he's playing better but where has the power gone? He hit 8 HRs last year in like 200 ABs. Its gone into his doubles/triples totals. He has quite a few considering he's only batting .240. Love the steals too. ptatc
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 23, 2014 -> 08:26 PM) Hawkins 2 run triple. As bad as Davidson has been, he's still going to hit 20 homers. That's what happens when you swing for the fences all the time.

He hit 8 HRs last year in like 200 ABs. That's what happens when you try to raise the AVE. The power drops.
