Reminiscent of Juan Pierre leading off...giving the most at-bats in a game to Leury.

RA Dickey climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, there's that (although it's the easiest of the 7 continents in terms of scaling the tallest summit).

Beckham close to falling into the .250's for the first time since the 7-10 day period after he returned from the oblique.

So much for the White Sox offense. Surely facing a knuckleballer is unlikely to help...

Hawk with a load of crap tonight.........saying when GB and Alexi make errors it is ok with the pitchers because of all the GREAT plays those 2 make. Pitchers on the Sox do have a issue with the outfielders on this team making errors. This team is so dead Hawks conversation has fallen to this after Alexi makes yet another error.

Yea, Garcia is totally the guy you want getting the most ABs. It's little things like this with Robin that add up. Just move Beckham up FFS and bat Garcia 9th.

Or, you KNOW DE AZA IS HOT TRY HIM.

It's like the conventional, silly manager thing to do, would be to play the hot hand, small sample size wizard De Aza at leadoff. (which I'm fine with, try and capture some lightning in a bottle). But instead he goes the Jim Leyland route and puts him leadoff, batting where the guy he replaced does.

Beckham would have been fine since he sucks when anyone is on base

Robin seemingly never does the conventionally sub-optimal thing, he always does the unconventionaly, even subber optimal thing.

That's exactly what Ozzie used to do. Small fast guy must lead off if they're in the lineup regardless of their actual ability with the bat.

You're right about Leyland doing that; I never agreed with that logic. I remember years ago when he was manager of the Rockies (for one year), Larry Walker in his prime was dinged up for a day and Leyland decided to rest him and replace with with somebody hitting a buck eighty. Naturally. Leyland batted the guy third, and the Press roasted him.
