fathom
Wow, more stupid baseball by the Sox. Also, Angels fans must love Robin Ventura given how awful he's managed vs them this season.

caulfield12
WHY WAS THAT THROW NOT TO 2B? JESUS. Too many mental mistakes out there this season. Seems like last year all over again. "If there are mistakes like that which keep happening over and over again, you've got to send a message." DJ on Ventura This is the at-bat of the game, undoubtedly. fathom
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 03:07 AM) These last two weeks suck. White Sox collapse. Montas and Tim Anderson injured now and will probably miss the remainder of the season. Ventura managerial decision. World Cup team out when they had a great chance in the 92nd minute at point blank range. Put Sale, Abreu and Q in a bubble!
fathom
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 03:07 AM) I know it does not matter but when it does he will mess it up and do same s*** he did tonight. Except when it does matter Scott Carrol...or anything close to a pitcher the caliber of Scott Carrol will not be on the roster.

Feeky Magee
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:10 PM) I don't understand your point? Beckham gives a better chance but he still sucks with RISP Out of interest, why is that you think Beckham sucks with RISP? As in what's the reasoning behind him doing so, if he does? Nerves? How come then that in other years he's hit better with RISP than with the bases empty?
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:11 PM) Umm...Leury Garcia just doesn't have ANY experience in that situation. He has two RBI's all season. And he will never have any experience if you pinch hit for him in the 6th inning for a guy hitting under .260 and well under that with RISP
caulfield12
Can we start a 2015 DRAFT PICK thread now please? God, that was awful. Of course, Petricka will walk someone when the bases are loaded...well, because it's the White Sox 2014 bullpen.

As in what's the reasoning behind him doing so, if he does? Nerves? How come then that in other years he's hit better with RISP than with the bases empty? I have no clue.. It is probably him putting more pressure on himself and he just doesn't perform.
caulfield12
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 09:14 PM) And he will never have any experience if you pinch hit for him in the 6th inning for a guy hitting under .260 and well under that with RISP Except Leury Garcia's irrevelant to the 2015-16-17-18 White Sox. Beckham getting a hit there does more for his trade value...arguably, and we have already have Saladino/Semien, etc., that will take over Leury's role next season. Give Surkamp a shot, and then Heath. Carroll has had plenty of chances this year to show what he can do at this level, and he has been crushed as a starter. Oh, and yes it's nightmare time....if Alexei gets traded, this team has a great chance of a bottom 5 record. Edited July 2, 2014 by fathom

caulfield12
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) And what happens if Beckham pops up again?? Baseball is all about probability. Beckham still has a higher chance of coming through there than Leury Garcia. If you actually think Leury's more likely to come through, then we're not going to get ANYTHING in trade return for Gordon Beckham from opposing GM's.
