Feeky Magee
I know he went 4 straight days in Toronto, but given the day off and that he's stretched out, I wonder if Carroll continues to struggle do they go with Surkamp as long reliever to see what he's got for multiple innings
fathom
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 02:10 AM) This is going to be ugly tonight. This has to be it for him. It's sad how much the pitching in this organization sucks after the big 3.

caulfield12
Did anyone else see this one coming...? Can't imagine him getting another start. As DJ just said, the Angels have no respect for the White Sox right now. Of course, a lot of that has to do with the pitching match-ups. And speaking of DJ, Carroll needs to return to the DJ Carrasco role.
caulfield12
Who was the outfielder they were just criticizing for backing up one of those plays? DeAza? This whole cheering for your favorite NL team in the 2nd half/playoffs thing is getting old quite fast. Edited July 2, 2014 by caulfield12

As DJ just said, the Angels have no respect for the White Sox right now. Of course, a lot of that has to do with the pitching match-ups. Last I saw he had gone 1 1/3 innings and gave up 5 hits. But, no WALKS. Small miracles welcome And speaking of DJ, Carroll needs to return to the DJ Carrasco role. caulfield12
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 07:19 PM) Sean Lowe was better Until we traded away 3 pitchers for 1/2 of one in Todd Ritchie. Perhaps the single worst of all KW's early reign trades. Of course, the one thing we needed most in 2003 was a 5th starter (and no, Neal Cotts starting instead of Mark Buehrle in Yankee Stadium wasn't the solution). chisoxt
The dearth of organizational pitching talent is both inexcusable and embarrassing. Maybe the white sox can start to draft pitchers with, you know, actual skills instead of relying on Don Cooper to reclaim anybody with their throwing arm artAched to their body.
