Reverse Racism?

So this student body president at a prep school, who is black, issues a bunch of stereotypes regarding whites and steps down as school president. She is unrepentant, basically saying, 'Hey, this is how all these white guys are.' Basically nobody will care. This story will have no legs.

Can you imagine the Internet outcry if this president had been white issuing stereotypical and mean stuff about blacks? The kid would never work; the kid would pretty much be banished from society forever with threats, etc. Oprah and everybody would be after the guy and he'd be ostracized forever.

This case ... yawn.

Call it part of the reparations she's owed.

I love the part where she blows off getting fired, just says she has to be herself. And she blows it off basically saying, 'hey that's what these white guys are; just pointing it out to you.'

She wears the boots, the hockey stick, Yale shirt. I won't even list the things a white person might wear to stereotype blacks mockingly. Oh my gosh, just thinking about what would happen to that white kid if he/she did such a thing scares me. Poor kid would have to move to Canada. The media would attack that person to no end. This story ... well it won't be a story. period.

I don't see your point, greg. It seems like they ran her out of town.

She got her degree. She resigned her post as president in what appears to be about the calmest manner possible. Her statements throughout scream "me me me; I am great."

Well what she did is a pretty minor offense. She put on lacrosse clothes and mocked the right wingers on her campus. She also said she recognizes that she hurt people's feelings and then voluntarily left her post. I fail to see the big deal here. Seems like another example of white folks wanting to feel like they too are oppressed.

For some reason I just read the story and thought about the backlash that would happen if the races were reversed.

This has to be the most pompous resignation line ever: "“I understand why I hurt people's feelings, but I didn't become president to make sure rich white guys had more representation on campus,” Peterson told BuzzFeed, which reported the story on Monday. “Let’s be honest. They're not the ones that feel uncomfortable here.” Peterson graduated from Lawrenceville, a private school near princeton, N.J., in June.

You are entirely just speculating.

Faux rage faux rage.
