I am not surprised that the Yanks want Danks just knowing their situation. But, Danks is a very good pitcher who seems to be recovered from his injury and can help the Sox as we retool. A trade with the Yanks must make sense and bring us talent we want.

I really think Danks will be gone if they can get any sort of reasonable offer. Considering what starting pitchers are getting on the open market, his contract is not horrible. Even though Danks has become a useful starter again, I think the Sox will move just because of his left-handedness. They probably don't want to go with four lefties and with Sale, Quintana and Rodon (at some point over the next year+) Danks is the odd man out.

John Danks for LHP Ian Clarkin and RHP Luis Severino

Severino is going to be extremely tough to ply away from them right now as he seems like the only legit prospect they have, unless you buy Gary Sanchez's defense.

Danks for Eric Jagielo and Aaron Judge. Just sweep their entire 2013 1st RD class.

But seriously, I would love to have Aaron Judge. A gigantic OF who has been drawing a ton of walks so far.

Jagielo would be cool but unrealistic

I like this idea. I looked him up and you're right, he is a monster. Looks to be on the same pace as Tim Anderson. If his power developed he would love hitting on the south side. Good call dude, I hadn't heard of him til you brought him up.

He's a number 5 starter at best making a #2 salary, and his "recovered" shoulder can barely break 88.

Dump, dump, dump, dump.

You guys need to realize that if the Yankees take Danks' entire salary, we're going to get a return that you've never heard of before (i.e., prospects outside of the Yankees top 10).

He's not a #5 starter. He's a former #2 starter who is probably more like a #3.

Danks is a back of the rotation starter. I can't imagine any team, including the White Sox, views him as a legitimate #3 starter at this point.
