SoxAce
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 09:50 AM) It may be nothing to do with Danks, but some promotions have happened in the minors. Bucciferro to Birmingham Snodgress to Charlotte Repost that on the FutureSox board flavum. Good stuff man.
2nd_city_saint787
Millone to the Twins....Marlins were said to be interested in him. Could help in Danks/Marlins talks.
Buehrle>Wood
Really intrigued to see the Milone return. Hope we tried. Was thinking the Cubs would land him Edited July 31, 2014 by Buehrle>Wood
2nd_city_saint787
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 09:52 AM) Apparently the difference between being buyers and being sellers is somewhere between a 10% and 5% chance of making the playoffs. They're 8-2 in the last 10 so I guess they're buying this hot streak.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 09:51 AM) But who to chicago? Doran is scheduled to pitch in Charlotte today. Used to have a Twitter account as far as I can tell, but no longer does. He didn't join the organization that long ago and, when looking it up, it does say he is part of the White Sox. Wonder when he deleted it. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 09:56 AM) Really intrigued to see the Milone return. Hope we tried Agreed. Could help in Danks/Marlins talks. That was predictable. His reaction to the "demotion" to AAA when he was pitching so well must not have sat so well with Beane and Co. BlackSox13
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 09:52 AM) Marlins make sense in that they have a surplus of ML ready outfielders. The Sox will probably have to eat half of Danks contract to balance out the value there, but Marisnick would make a lot of sense to patrol the OF next season. Really I think the Marlins are more of a smokescreen to get the teams they are targeting to give up more. I'd take Marisnickin a heartbeat! Not sure the Marlins would be willing to give him up but one can hope. I agree about the Marlins , it just doesn't make sense but I'm not the one working the phones so I suppose it is a possibility. caulfield12
So wait...the Twins gave up on Morales and dumped him and are now turning around and adding? Weird. The move's more for 2015 and beyond anyway.
Buehrle>Wood
Willingham and maybe something else would make sense for the A's. Too bad De Aza wasn't better, he'd be the one that makes sense.

caulfield12
Why does it seem like if Nelson Cruz ends up in Boston with Cespedes and Lester comes back that Boston will the favorites again?? They're still a couple of starters short though.

shysocks
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 10:02 AM) Morales was lousy. Plus Milone has three more years of team control and the Twins have a desperate need for some pitching.

Melissa1334
Passan said that's it, straight up. Millone is a lefty that was doing good and that's all you get , aaaa/back up of?

SoxAce
QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 10:05 AM) Passan said that's it, straight up. Wow.. if true, that's a hell of a deal for the Twins. Theo and Jed could of gave them their D prospects and that would've been a better deal for the A's.

caulfield12
Plus Millone gets to start in a similar pitcher's paradise there in Minny. Good place for him to prosper. I hope we at least offered Viciedo and/or Dunn and/or DeAza for Millone. Weird that a PR/4th outfielder type has so much value to the A's. Fuld's not even close to Jarrod Dyson. Jake
With the amount of starters they have, OAK didn't see any need for Millone this year. They may not think highly of him in general. Fuld, as we've heard Wimpy say a million times, can contribute meaningfully in the right role for a good team. Beane must have wanted him at that strong defense/fast runner/LH bat role. Melissa1334
With Gomes getting most of the playing time in left, I guess that wanted a legit defensive back up. (I remember fuld being really good defensively) ^^^^what he said lol Edited July 31, 2014 by Melissa1334
