Nokona
The team remains an enigma. Manager Jerry Manuel probably would be gone if he weren't signed through 2004. Williams concedes that "once or twice" he has been almost completely fed up. "There are times," he says, "when I can get on the same roller coaster as our fans." So, does that mean KW reads the forums round here?

Chisoxfn
I think its a given that Williams has thought about firing Manuel considering how the team plays at times and how lost they appear to be at times. Their is no doubt the talent is their, but if all championships were won by the most talented teams, sports wouldn't be fun to watch. Texsox
My formula for JM continued employment with the White Sox Miss Playoffs = Adios, Good bye, call the agent and take a long trip. Finish something like 6th on the All-Time Sox list. Out in the 1st Round = 50-50 on next season. The team met minimum expectations. Out in the ALCS = He's here in 2004 without and extension. Basically a one year reprieve. Out in the WS = He's here on a 3 year contract and we may grow to love the guy. WS Win = Kids will grow up never knowing another WS Manager. mreye
So, does that mean KW reads the forums round here? No way in hell! I wouldn't doubt that he listens to the radio, though.
cwsox
it is known that front office staff of the Sox read the mlb sox board. Whether anyone does more than that, such as soxtalk or wsi no idea. When KW made the roller coaster statement, I took it in context to mean what it says at face value about the emotions of following the team, not a rererence to any message board. Texsox
JM has a radio and a magic eight ball, I'm fairly certain he hasn't moved up to modems and computers.
