2nd_city_saint787
Sans the picture, no love for Bassitt here. 5 innings of 1 hit ball. Only hit given up was to some guy named Addison Russell. Strikes out weren't really there, and he walked 3, but still rather impressive for his first start coming off an injury. ILMOU
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 30, 2014 -> 07:36 AM) Well done, sir. Thanks. I'd really like to see the Hound treated aggressively to make up for a little of the lost time. I still think he has the tools to be an effective long reliever/spot starter type, and possibly as early as June or so of next year. Prior to his still unknown "non-baseball injury" (something embarrassing perhaps?), I thought he might be a candidate for such a role right about now. Control is the occasional bugaboo, and I'd like to see him get with Coop ASAP. Edited July 30, 2014 by Stan Bahnsen
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 30, 2014 -> 08:59 AM) Thanks. Prior to his still unknown "non-baseball injury" (something embarrassing perhaps?), I thought he might be a candidate for such a role right about now. Control is the occasional bugaboo, and I'd like to see him get with Coop ASAP. He had a broken hand, but he told me it was "not baseball-related" and "minor". My instinct was, there may have been something embarrassing behind that, but he didn't want to get into it. And I didn't want to push it.
