Sox bullpen ERA = 3.89

Addison Reed ERA = 3.95

So yeah, I can see how the Sox would be so many games better by adding a guy with a 3.95 ERA to a bullpen with a 3.89 ERA

Reed is not missed.

The Robin Ventura Effect...

No, I think this is a lack of talent effect. They have had 4 pretty substantial holes in the starting lineup virtually all season. The team is fighting as hard as they can, but they simply don't have the talent to compete with the big boys over the course of a season. But there is a sense in the clubhouse that they are close and that there is talent.

His fWAR is even worse since he's given up so many home runs this year.

When Reed doesn't have his good velocity, he's just throwing 92 MPH fastballs right down the pipe.

Jeez, have a day Moises. Might have found a nice little bench piece in him, and he's really seemed to fit well into the clubhouse.

It's a little frustrating that Viciedo continues to get the vast majority of the starts. Be better to find out more about what they have in Moises.
