Jose Abreu
With the trade deadline behind us, I'm interested to see what you all think our 2015 team will look like. My prediction: 1. Eaton 2. Ramirez 3. Gillaspie 4. Abreu 5. Viciedo 6. Garcia 7. Davidson (DH/3B) 8. Micah Johnson 9. Flowers With a bench of Nieto, Leury, Sierra, and Carlos Sanchez. Pitching- 1. Sale 2. James Shields 3. Quintana 4. Erik Johnson/FA/Noesi 5. Danks Putnam Petricka Joe Thatcher Surkamp Luke Gregerson Webb Guerra Casey Janssen Edited July 31, 2014 by Jose Abreu

kev211
If that is the team we go with next year then rick Hahn must've gone into a comma during the offseason.

Feeky Magee
Leaving aside Viciedo, Jordan Danks and Tyler Flowers, what exactly has Leury Garcia done to justify a place on the bench? He is literally hitting like a pitcher in over 200 PA with the White Sox.
Kalapse
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Leaving aside Viciedo, Jordan Danks and Tyler Flowers, what exactly has Leury Garcia done to justify a place on the bench? He is literally hitting like a pitcher in over 200 PA with the White Sox. And yet, no mention of Futuresox's preseason #4 prospect. That dude who could be competent at 3+ positions and is OPSing .813 with a babip of .250 in AAA right now. LittleHurt05
Casey Janssen & Luke Gregerson combined would probably cost nearly $15-$20 million a season, that seems a bit excessive for bullpen help.
Chicago White Sox
1. Adam Eaton, CF 2. Marcus Semien, 2B 3. Jose Abreu, 1B 4. Victor Martinez, DH (2 years, $30M) 5. Alexei Ramirez, SS Honestly I like that idea, but I have to wonder if he can be had that cheap. He's hitting like he did just before his PED bust and at only 30 you know some GM will offer him way more. He's actually hitting better away from his home band box in Toronto. 2nd_city_saint787
Hopefully Detroit having to pay either Price/Max big $$ means they can't afford VMart....Sox go balls out because 1. thxfrthmmrs
Ideal (not necessarily realistic) starting lineup. Now that they have Price to replace Scherzer, they can afford to give VMart a bigger contract to stay for a couple years.

I think most GMs will have some caution with Melky because of his prior PED bust, but you're right, it only takes one GM to do something stupid. Probably a bit unrealistic, but maybe he wants to hit free agency one more time at 33? Regardless, he's definitely the type of bat we should be looking to add.
