BigHurt3515
I don't think Cleto found anything in AAA but I who really cares to pitch well when down 9-0? You have nothing to pitch for

southsider2k5
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 07:39 PM) Yet some will tell you his value IS 14 mil a year, and are glad the Sox didn't trade him. Guys throwing 86mph to eat innings (lose games) can be found anywhere. I think this only gets worse the next 2 years. The funny thing is he was hitting 91/92 tonight. southsider2k5
QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 08:24 PM) He was healthy and one of the better young LH pitchers when he signed the deal. Everyone forgets that now.

Jake
Rienzo has been bad this year but today is just awful luck. Two bloops, a bunch of ground balls, and a bad block. He's been throwing strikes and getting grounders

I am legitimately worried about his health because he's never had the appearance of a healthy man and has had a few different health issues in the past

I am legitimately worried about his health because he's never had the appearance of a healthy man and has had a few different health issues in the past I don't think he has done a good job the last two years. With that said, I know he has job security here. And yes, health is a priority.

Danks is hitting that, most innings pitched in the last 3 years area. The sox need to hope that its just building his arm up and he will continue to improve. Otherwise it's going to be along 2 years. LittleHurt05
QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 09:37 PM) Danks is hitting that, most innings pitched in the last 3 years area. The sox need to hope that its just building his arm up and he will continue to improve. Otherwise it's going to be along 2 years. That's what I was hoping, but he is already at 45 starts since the injury and over 275 innings. At some point you need to see some results to have any confidence in a rebound. ptatc
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 09:39 PM) That's what I was hoping, but he is already at 45 starts since the injury and over 275 innings. At some point you need to see some results to have any confidence in a rebound. True. But with him hitting his innings pitched from last year, he is probably struggling through a arm building phase. Most pitchers have this issue when they are hitting that inning threshold. He only pitched 53 and 140 innings the last 2 years, I believe.
