Anyone else watching the Barons game on TV? They're on CBS Sports Net right now.

Weird 5th inning against Recchia. Flare single, triple that should have been a fly-out but Richmond broke the wrong way, another pop-up flare behind the 3B, and one well-hit slice-shot. 2 runs, and that's the difference.

Also, watching Ravelo hit from that front angle, getting a better idea of his bat speed. He starts late, but he's real quick the bat and makes up for it. I like it.

And still like Smith's swing, short and quick, with some power.

Announcers were saying Ravelo only played 2 years of HS ball....

Family settled in late on arriving in the States. Was known to be raw at draft time as a result. Yet, he's doing what he's doing at AA at age 22, al the more impressive.

Johnson ended up having a mediocre start. Continued the trend of him falling apart after a few innings. Makes me wonder if his future might be as a reliever.

Not sure I agree with this. Yes he blew up in the top of the 7th, but through the first six innings he gave up one run on five hits with five strikeouts and one walk. That's incredible improvement from where's been at this season.

No doubt it's an improvement, but he went from mowing down everyone the first two innings to getting into trouble in almost every inning after. Baby steps though!

Lasko did say that Johnson pitched better than what his line was.

Avi Garcia (1-for-4) took a pitch off his left index finger in his fourth AB. As of now the plan is still for him to start in RF tomorrow.

Man, stop effing hitting him you AAA trash pitchers.
