Gene Honda Civic
In my best "Superfans" voice............. Tonight's game? ..... A BLOWOUT ..... White Sox 37 - Red Sox 1.... Frank goes deep 6 times 17 RBI's.... it would have been a shutout but Jerry pulled Colon with two out in the ninth when a certain pinch hitter came to the plate. DITKA... Ditka goes yard off of Koch... DA SOX.
Jordan4life_2003
we need him to step it up against boston tonight..i think we are going to have a good game on our hands... I don't think Bartolo has a choice against this Red Sox offense. He has to be on his gm tonight. But I got a feeling that both Colon and Buehrle r gonna step it up this last month... Jordan4life_2003
He needs to get Sox fans back on his side. I know alot of people already are sick of him,and im right on the fence. He needs a not only a good, but a great performance tonight to get people back on the Bartolo ship. U know it's funny. Mark Buehrle is like a prince to everybody on this board but Colon is like the villian. Last time I checked Buehrle was 11-13...
VAfan
I'm certainly not a Colon basher. Come playoff time, he's going to earn his money. At one point, I would have led with him, but now I would lead with Loaiza and follow with Bartolo. Buehrle against anyone else's #3 has to have the advantage. Bartolo has had too many "bad" games this year, but he's also had a lot more "dominant" games than Mark. Loiaza started the ASG and mowed down a VERY tough lineup while the Rocket retired the bottom of the order and got all the ink. Loaiza, Colon, Buehrle. That's the only reasonable ranking of Sox starters this year.

Stop trying to make a point that isn't there./
elrockinMT
When Colon is on his game he can dominate any teams lineup. I think he will be motivated and is coming off a good performance so I am looking to a Sox winner.
BurlyMan56
He needs cutter working early; if he has it early; he'll have a lot of called 3rd strikes.

Stop trying to make a point that isn't there./ And that's only because Buehrle didn't accept the offer made to him last winter. And don't give me that money bulls***. Everbody including yourself had Colon and Buehrle at close to 40 wins combined this season. If Colon gets hated on Buehrle should as well... CubKilla
And that's only because Buehrle didn't accept the offer made to him last winter. That contract was smoke and mirrors. About half of the money was not guaranteed..... mostly incentive based. f*** that. MB deserved better than that whether you like him or not. I give Mark B the benefit of the doubt because he came up through the Sox organization and this is his 3rd full year with the club. Bartolo is just an imported tub of goo brought in by KW for a one-year rental. After this season, he won't even be on the team and Mark B will still be dealing for the Sox. Jordan4life_2003
I'd call a 2 hitter pretty damn good. CORPSEBALL! It's back! I've felt all year that when Bartolo is on he's the best pitcher on the team. He was simply outstanding tonight...2 hits and 3 total base runners against this Red Sox offense? Only special type pichers can do that...Full props to Bartolo tonight. Buehrle has a tough act to follow tomorrow night...
Chisoxfn
Both pitchers have failed to live up to their hype, but in the 2nd half both have been much better and if they can dominate the rest of the way and pitch good in the playoffs (if they get there) then I'll be happy. I know the guys can flat pitch and I hope both of them are wearing Sox uni's for a long time.

Reasonable Sox fans? ..... is that an Oxymoron?
