Keep in the back of your mind that anyone who isn't on the 40 man roster, would need someone released or DFA's to make room for them, and that is with one such moving coming soon for Avi Garcia. Another catcher, probably a few of these middle IF's (Simeon for starters), and Garcia (who will be here by then). Perhaps another arm or two, but not sure who that would be. Does anyone expect Sale or Quintana to be shut down or put on a pitch count (even if the team doesn't admit it) in the 2nd half of September, meaning they miss their final 2 or 3 starts? That's not to say the Sox won't give him one, but it wouldn't be for anything he's done on a baseball field this year. Same goes for Jared Mitchell.
