GGajewski18
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...ws&c_id=cws He's definitely thinking about it. Yes he hasn't lived up to his contract but was a great teammate and great in the clubhouse. Edit: Mods take the 's off the title please. My bad. caulfield12
The Royals could definitely use some offensive help. They have Raul Ibanez and his 170ish average in the DH position right now. Things will change when Hosmer comes back, probably...with Butler switching back...despite how well he's been hitting while playing 1B. greg775
He definitely should retire. He has enough money to sit on a couch the rest of his life if he wants.

hogan873
He's 41 HRs away from 500. Let's say for argument's sake he's 35 away at the end of the season. I could imagine him wanting to stick around to get 500, but it would probably take him at least 2 years, especially if he ends up in a platoon situation somewhere. Edit: I saw that he said he wouldn't stick around just to hit 500 HRs, but I'm not sure if I buy that. If he has a chance to play with a contender, that might change things. I think he can super successful in the AL East or NL again, can totally see him on NYY, BOS, BAL, or TOR, could do some damage there as a lefty, either striking out or homering of course
ron883
he should just use PEDs so he can get to 500 by next year. That way he can retire after 1 more year

lasttriptotulsa
He'll definitely have a job next year if he wants one. He has a .258/.383/.546 slash away from the cell this year. Somebody will be willing to take a chance on him. I honestly don't think he'll have to settle for a platoon role either. Most teams aren't getting s*** out of their DH spot and the .800 OPS he can put up would like real good to a lot of teams.

Valid point, and it's hard to know how somebody that already has that much money thinks, but $5+ million is still a hell of a lot of money. Word. You think all the guys who roided and had career years in their late 30's hadn't lost any bat speed? Steroids can be phenomenal for that. If Dunn roided, he would reach 500 by next year IMO.
