Yea no more Beckham, Carroll and Dunn please.

Ya no kidding. Gona be a breath of fresh air to have them gone and if we could land Victor and a starter I'll be happy. Pen needs some real work also. The pen is the key in the offseason. Have to get it fixed.

Especially with Nieto catching. That guy is jinxed this year with his record behind the plate.

August 8 was the only time Nieto caught for Q and he has never caught Sale. He hasn't been jinxed, he's just been catching crappy pitchers

I think it was July 21st, which is about when Cooper left the team. Would have to double check.

Stanton hit his 32nd today.

Jackie Robinson LL getting smacked around. Must have already used their best pitcher. LV had a pretty impressive (and big) kid there out on the mound.

It's a combination of fatigue, pitchers making adjustments, and regression to the mean. He leads the league in just enough and "lucky" homeruns, only 3 of his long balls were "no doubt". He was bound to slow down at some point.

While we all want him to hit 50 home runs and shatter records, it just wasn't very realistic in his first year. The encouraging sign is he's still making contact

The "lucky" home run thing is stupid. The only "luck" he has is being strong and skilled enough to turn deep flyballs into outs.

Frank Thomas took 25 games to hit his first HR.

It's all about getting on base and driving in runs. That's what Big Hurt was great at before the steroid era made everything about the HR.

The point being there is no need to panic about Abreu. He will start finding the seats again on a frequent basis before long.
