LVSoxFan
He never did really pan out but he was a totally likeable guy. I hope he has a new beginning in Cali. That said, I'm excited to see the new faces! Obviously we're rebuilding so WTH, let's get on with it!

maggsmaggs
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 21, 2014 -> 04:51 PM) Presume Semien is on his way up. Sanchez will follow in about a week. And hopefully Phegley and Wilkins. Either could prove to be the 2015 DH with strong Septembers.
southsider2k5
PTBNL or cash.
witesoxfan
Also, I can't see any way this isn't Semien coming up. What will be interesting to see is how the minors shake out. There's only a couple weeks left in the season, do we possibly see Rondon moved up to Charlotte for a 2-3 week spell to continue getting him consistent playing time? Soxfest
GB is one of biggest disappointments to me. Good luck this is best for both sides. Hawk will shed tears. Edited August 21, 2014 by Soxfest
witesoxfan
This DOES explain why he wasn't in the lineup last night against a lefty. In any other circumstance, he'd be there, but this trade (or another one) had to be close. The Sox could have been waiting on a team to guarantee them the option of PTBNL or cash or maybe they get a choice or who knows really. ptatc
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 21, 2014 -> 04:55 PM) We should know shortly who's getting promoted, as Charlotte's game starts at 5:30. L. Garcia the new White Sox 2B.

2nd_city_saint787
Game threads just lost about 10 posts (Hi Bighurt3515 ) Kind of an odd move for the Angels. I thought a team looking to platoon him would try and snag him. Kendrick and Freese are both much better against LHP. Aybar hits just .226 against LHP so I wonder if they try him at SS. He's certainly an upgrade over John McDonald who is their current utility man.
Balta1701
Thus ends the most disappointing career of a white sox player I can remember.
chw42
Should have traded him when he wasn't hitting .220.

What will be interesting to see is how the minors shake out. There's only a couple weeks left in the season, do we possibly see Rondon moved up to Charlotte for a 2-3 week spell to continue getting him consistent playing time? Why can't Rondon play in Birmingham or the AFL? You really want to jump him 3 levels in one season when he's just beginning to prove he won't have the bat blown out of his hand by a dominant pitcher? I don't even think it's three weeks left, more like 2 unless your team's in the playoffs/post-season.

cabiness42
Should have traded him when he wasn't hitting .220. I doubt there has been any moments since last November that the Sox wouldn't have traded him for a reasonable return.

cabiness42
PTBNL or cash. I'd rather have the PTBNL, even if it's a reliever who is a long shot to be fixed by Coop.

fathom
Looks like it might be Carlos Sanchez, as he's not playing tonight and Semien is at SS. This would be fine with me, as it gives them a longer look at Sanchez. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb Edited August 21, 2014 by fathom
