fathom
I love this lineup tonight. I know we talk about how a lot of the games, it's not bad for the future if the Sox lose. Well, tonight is a game I'd really like to see them win.

fathom
With Viciedo, it would be interesting to see if they really do want to make him the back-up/emergency 1B for Abreu next year.

Yep, and just like with Flowers, I'll be ok with it as long as the available money goes to a strong starting pitcher and lefty hitting DH or LF

If we sign say Melky, I'd be ok keeping tank and having him get majority of his at bats at dh with also a little in the outfield and first. Also it'd be nice to have him hitting like 6th as opposed to middle of the order.

Not happening...buying high...peds...qualifying offer compensation In the free agency list there are 6-8 corner ofers more likely as placeholders on short-term deals who won't cost a draft pick Edited September 5, 2014 by caulfield12

thxfrthmmrs
One thing I haven't hear people talked about yet. Chris Sale's pitches per PA. It's at 4.04 pitches / PA, which is ranks 88th out of 94 qualifying pitchers, and I would bet that number is driven up by the last 6 starts or so. Brian
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 07:06 PM) Taylor swings at some terrible pitches. Why was he brought up over Mitchell? I know Jared isn't great but should've been brought up to see what he is, good or bad.
