Kyyle23
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 02:57 PM) Don't these signings make it pretty likely Hamels will be in Boston? I guess it depends on the conversations that the Phillies had with Theo back in late August
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 02:57 PM) Don't these signings make it pretty likely Hamels will be in Boston? I believe so. Hanley will be playing LF for Boston. He had a 135 wRC+ last season. Sandoval would be at 3rd in this scenario.
ptatc
QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 02:11 PM) Yup. I am now in the group of folks that feel an over pay is in order if a team wants to acquire Alexei. Thank you Hanley and Boston. Or does this make bogaerts available and pushes Alexei's value down? southsider2k5
Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 1h1 hour ago #Phillies in good position with Hamels. Both #RedSox, #Cubs interested. Team that fails to land Lester could jump. Others likely in, too.
BlackSox13
QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 02:28 PM) They might move Hanley to the OF. You are correct, oversight on my part. QUOTE (ptatc @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) Or does this make bogaerts available and pushes Alexei's value down? I certainly hope not. If Boston keeps Boegarts at SS and moves Hanley to LF then I suppose it would not bring Alexei's value down. IMO, it helps but we all know what they say about opinions. witesoxfan
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 26, 2014 -> 04:08 PM) Tomas to AZ for Abreu money. Given that price tag, the Sox either feel they have their money committed elsewhere more appropriately right now or they really did not like what they saw from Tomas. That is a seemingly incredibly reasonable price tag.

That is a seemingly incredibly reasonable price tag. I was kind of surprise and disappointed. I thought the sox was the surprise team to come in and make the bid. if it is as you said, they may have saw something they did not like, I wonder what it was. I am just thinking they have their money planned for someone. oh well gots to see how this plays out and how Tomas does during the season. 2nd_city_saint787
So which DBacks outfielder do we trade for this year? They have Tomas, Pollack, Trumbo, Ross, Inciarte, and my personal favorite David Peralta. If they can get Trumbo for super cheap he could be a solid platoon partner with LaRoche. By super cheap I mean a bunch of nobodies.

Maybe the offer Flowers and Semien for Inciarte and Montero? I'm probably way off but you know what I mean. Something like that allows the Sox to use Phegley in the backup C role.
