LittleHurt05
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 03:46 PM) This is what $95 million buys you now. https://twitter.com/jorgearangure/status/567799621767155712 QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 06:24 PM) Panda reported to Red Sox camp about 8 months pregnant. I'll take pregnant Panda over skinny Conor any day of the week. He does this every year and it always seems to work out fine. Plus, he's a baseball player not a wide receiver. Doesn't he usually try to come into camp in some kind of better shape, then gradually gain weight during the season? How many really fat 3B have there been playing effectively in their 30s? LittleHurt05
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 09:41 PM) Doesn't he usually try to come into camp in some kind of better shape, then gradually gain weight during the season? How many really fat 3B have there been playing effectively in their 30s? I think that happened in 2014, the year before he he showed up in spring training fat like normal. The end of the contract may not be ideal (he's only 28 now), but I don't think February 15 in year 1 is the day to worry about it.

I thought about greening it but I was feeling spiteful. See the Matt Albers thread if you haven't read it yet.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 04:26 PM) How is Matt Lindstrom high reward? Haha...I was going to say the same thing. His upside is a solid, early inning reliever. To expect him to be a late inning contributor would be a bad idea. I think the Angels know that and this is a good, cheap, potential vet you can plug into your pen that can potentially help you in those games where you have to go to the pen early, etc.
Kyyle23
The Rangers have signed Rougned Odor's younger brother. caulfield12
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 19, 2015 -> 04:34 PM) Shoulder surgery for Jurickson Profar, sidelined indefinitely. 18 months ago he was considered one of the top 5 prospects in the game. Hope he makes it back, but you never know. This would definitely seem to push him to 2B when he does come back.

I would say they screwed up that top prospect for top prospect swap proposed by the Cardinals a couple years back, but that other prospect was Oscar Tavares...soo....
