Wait a second. How the f*** was that last run earned? How the f*** do they not give an error to Eaton on that? If he doesn't kick the ball away, there is not a chance a hell he scores. s***, he kicked the ball and he STILL got the ball to the plate before the runner. That's brutal to put that run on Sale on a bloop to the OF with a runner on 1st.

Awful defense has been so prominent the last two years for the Sox. They have changed a lot of the personnel, and it's still awful.

Indians, Pirates, and Oakland are the bottom 3 in errors. Tito and Clint Hurdle were the managers of the year last year. Bob Melvin was the manager of the year in 2012.

If the Tigers lose tonight and you assume the Royals will lose their suspended game...If the Royals win 2 of 3 from the Tigers this weekend, they'll be tied with 7 games left....and the Sox will be involved all week.

I don't know why the studs are playing every day. Eaton's been on the DL 3 times - so why play him every day?

They need to look at young players.

yet Robin wheels Alexei out there every day, when we could be evaluating a Semien, Sanchez duo. Ozzie was even worse in 2007, so it must be an organizational thing.

Frankly Alexei should have been traded in July, when everyone knew he was at an absolute high-point, but this organization still overreacts to the White Flag PR hit they took 17 years ago.

It has also become ridiculously sentimental to players, including non-icons like Alexei (and Ventura) and even Dunn.

This is major league baseball in September...not spring training. The Royals, Tigers and Mariners are playing for two spots so teams owe it to baseball to play their best to the end. Also Sale should start Tuesday and Sunday (if it matters to the race) next week. You can't start Chris Bassitt or Scott Carroll on the last day of the season if it means something.

Sox were on fire offensively with good at bats on Tuesday; tonight Ace Ventura just mowed 'em down. It's the inconsistent Sox we've become accustomed to.

Don't know how we entered the game with one of the top pitchers in baseball and one of the top hitters in baseball and one of the lousiest teams in baseball.

Weird.

The team was a little bit better this year, but maddeningly inconsistent. Too bad for KC Bruce Chen wasn't around to start the middle game of the series or they would have gotten the sweep they needed.

As far as Green Sox saying Alexei should have been traded in July ... that would not have been such a good move.

I mean some of us don't want the Sox to suck eggs again next season. Losing Lexi would truly affect the team performance more than one or two games no matter what WAR says. I mean you lose a damn fine shortstop, hitting and defense wise, and replace him with uh, nothing?, and it'll assure the Sox of the No. 1 draft pick next year.
