fathom
Some of these batting averages are falling big time at the end of the season. Gillaspie might not end up over .280 on the year. Alexei is going to be close to .270, and Eaton looks like he's out of gas.
winninguglyin83
Any chance we can send Buddy Bell back to KC? I liked the Royals a lot more when he was there.
greg775
Guthrie is having Chen-like success against the Sox. I wonder if KC just has great advance scouts. They've beaten Sox like a drum the last few seasons. And they love playing in the Cell.
greg775
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 27, 2014 -> 02:14 AM) Any chance we can send Buddy Bell back to KC? I liked the Royals a lot more when he was there. Great point. I hated the hire and I hated when some people thought he'd ultimately be Sox manager. I'd give Ventura 2 lifetime contracts if the alternative was Buddy Freaking Bell.
greg775
Q of the night: If KC wins tonight and they dogpile which they will, since they have a pretty young team, will our crowd politely cheer them? Sox have nothing to play for and no reason to begrudge the Royals younguns. I just wondered if Sox fans will applaud nicely for the visitors or boo them off the field. harkness99
Team doesn't care because it's manager is walking corpse. I cant stand watching this team at the end of the year the last 3 seasons. Pure unwatchable trash sorry.

GreenSox
They should cheer Robin for his stellar work in leading this team to what appear to be successive 90 loss seasons.

greg775
Royals fans on twitter are thanking the Sox for lighting up the scoreboard as they celebrated and for putting up a message congratulating the Royals.

Know who else had consecutive 90 loss seasons?? Ned Yost. Year before that he had a .433 W-L% but only coached 127 games.

ChiliIrishHammock24
I was at the game tonight. The Royals fans were loud, they definitely took over the game. I was disappointed so many Sox fans booed them celebrating on the field. I was happy for them. I mean, I saw history tonight. Ended a 29-year playoff drought. That's crazy to me.
