Dick Allen
If Detroit loses 3 out of 4, including the last 3 to the last place Twins, and want to blame the White Sox, they should be the laughingstocks of baseball.
Jose Abreu
Jose Abreu will replace Paul Konerko about halfway through today's game in perhaps the most symbolic "passing of the torch" in White Sox history.
Jose Abreu
Why no Gillaspie this weekend? I was hoping he could raise his average a little.
Dick Allen
Will today's attendance vs last night's resemble Opening Day vs. game 2 in 42 degree weather with a slight mist and winds from the NE at 25 MPH?
Jose Abreu
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2014 -> 11:53 AM) Will today's attendance vs last night's resemble Opening Day vs. game 2 in 42 degree weather with a slight mist and winds from the NE at 25 MPH? I hope not. Because of Fan Appreciation Day/Konerko, I'd hope/expect to have about 31-33 thousand despite the weather.

fathom
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 28, 2014 -> 06:18 PM) Sanchez looks pretty good at 2B. It will be quite the battle in spring training for the 2B job I will be very disappointed if Semien doesn't win the position over Sanchez. Sanchez just doesn't bring enough on the offensive end. Balta1701
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2014 -> 03:09 PM) I will be very disappointed if Semien doesn't win the position over Sanchez. Sanchez just doesn't bring enough on the offensive end. If Semien can play more than 1 position (3b?) there would be enough at bats for both of them. Can Sanchez be a legit plus defensive 2b like we've dreamed of having the last few years? Because a big defensive upgrade can be worth having a weaker bat in there. greg775
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2014 -> 07:31 PM) A win here could cost the Sox to fall two spots in the draft Good. I'd rather see Phegs and Semien have success and win than root for a phantom draft pick. Not judging you, you didn't express your position on the matter. GO SOX! p.s. Got a feeling KC will lose the wildcard game. They are going to be so happy 'just to be there' they are gonna get smoked at home by Oakland. At least the Sox took full advantage in 05, winning it all instead of just being happy to be there. That was fortunate considering we never got back.
