GM Meetings start next Monday, is there usually any moves happening during this period? Or is it to get a feel for some FA's and what of own teams players are worth discussing with other teams?

Can someone help me out.

Yes. Stuff starts happening at this point as all of the teams are together in one place at the same time.

Yep a bunch of teams are meeting the top free agents. Maybe some resigns will take place and trades.

This has me thinking about a baseball organization. There are summer and winter jobs, plus a few year round. Some of the staff spent the past 9 months preparing for these three months, others are using these three months to prepare for the following nine months.

I went to the opener in Glendale last year on Feb 28th, was a glorious 75 degree partly cloudy afternoon. Had a lot of fun. Probably won't make it down this year but I encourage anyone that can to go down there, the weather is spectacular that time of year and Camelback Ranch is a nice place to watch a game.

Not a Sunday Night baseball fan even when the Sox are on, so I'm glad they're avoiding an early season appearance.

Can this schedule be more ESPNy?

April 5- Mad Men premiere.

ESPN's Sunday night schedule (All times 8 ET):

April 5: St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs

April 12:Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees

April 19: Cincinnati Reds at St. Louis Cardinals

April 26: New York Mets at New York Yankees

May 3: New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox

ESPN Opening Day coverage, April 6 (All times ET):

1: Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees

4 : New York Mets at Washington Nationals

7: Cleveland Indians at Houston Astros

10: San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks
