Well that tweet says that Yes the White Sox are linked to people but McDaniel hasn't listed those names yet.

Well that's good. I really hope we sign Vlad Guerrero Jr. Excited for the names to leak.

Both Blue Jays and Cubs fans think they already have him signed. He might be out of the Sox price range considering the penalty.

The fans may think that, but all of the reliable media reports that I have seen indicate that he has a deal for $4M+ with the Jays. Obviously these things aren't binding, but, these "leaked" signings from guys like McDaniel are seldom wrong.

Kiley McDaniel is going to give an update tomorrow for July 2nd prospects. He also is updating his mob draft list.

Here is McDaniel's detailed update: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-interna...-market-part-1/

Says that the White Sox are believed to have an agreement with 6'3 235 pound RF Franklin Reyes for $1.4 million. Looks like the Cubs will be extremely active again. I wish the White Sox would use the same strategy.

I like it, just get him to shorten the swing a bit, but I do agree with Kiley in that he is a future first baseman

That's leaves the sox with $2,043,000 to spend in the international market, they can still trade for an additional $1,721,500.

Franklin Reyes played in the All American game as a 14 year old.

Here's is the All American's game bio on him:

Franklin Reyes

OF 6’4 190lb R/R

DOB 9-11-98 San Cristobal, DR

Franklin is trained by Basilio Vizcaino. His brother Franmil is a UAAA alumni now playing in the San Diego Padres system. Franklin is physically impressive with XXL frame and wiry muscular tone. He’s a prototypical RF’er possessing plus raw power, hit ability and plus arm strength.

He was also featured in a BA article, I don't subscribe but to those that do: http://www.baseballamerica.com/internation...franklin-reyes/

i am going to make a little itsy bitsy rant here.

i wish to all the baseball gods, i wish the sox would break the bank on the int's signing after July 2 or this yr. fill up the rosters of prospects who can be develop in 4+ yrs, including the cubans. the minor systems needs bodies who can develop. no one is going to hold the Dave Wilder situation against the sox for overspending. the sox needs positional players, outfields catchers and of course more pitchers.

just overload the systems then in 2+ yrs start being smart and they should assets to trade.

4 years? That would make them major league ready at 20. Realistically, you are talking about 6 years for the early arrivers.

Just once, I'd like to see them sign an Endy Chavez, Fr.Gutierrez or Juan Lagares quality defender in the OF...to be used as a defensive replacement.

If Shuck was a good enough defensive upgrade, that would be one thing...but I have a feeling RV isn't going to pull either Cabrera or Avi for JB Shuck because of the offensive sacrifice isn't being offset enough like with DeAza/Viciedo.

Maybe...someday...Thompson, but they still want to see if he can develop his bat.
