Remember Felix Pie? Jerome Walton? Gary Scott?

Prospects are just prospects, until they're proven commodities. Baseball history is chock-full with sensational "AAAA-players"; too good for AAA, not good enough for MLB.

At the same time, all of those good players in the majors were prospects once too.

Some of their top guys will flame out, but it's OK to say that the Cubs have a very good minor league system and it should translate to the MLB level to some degree.

Those that are "putting then" in the WS, or even playoff contention tis year are insane.

I think they'll be in playoff contention. They'll fall short, but it will be a really nice building year for them.

i rather be insane, drinking my sox kool aid and cheering on the sox, instead of constantly b****ing at sox management for not doing enuf...... then again, i still might b**** about that.

So then you're really not all that confident in your statements about the cubs 2015 record...

I don't take chances when it comes to the possibility of "wearing" Cubs gear.

Besides, if I agreed to your wager, you'd have to be rooting for the Cubs. You don't want to do that, do you? ;)

He's going to the Padres, they are officially out of control

The Padres are taking over the world: Sources say San Diego is working out Yoan Moncada today and plans to be aggressive in bidding for him.

The Rays and the Padres are the two-dark horse teams, although anything's possible with SD these days, seemingly.

TB desperately needs some type of "win" for that fan base after all the disheartening losses of coaching/front office staff/talent from the roster.

Moncada basically has to be Mike Trout to justify it.

yeah, I was thinking of Cano or Arod (because he is listed as an IF), but the idea is still the same. For that price you HAVE to get a superstar out of it, and even then, you are getting zero surplus value out of him.
