shysocks
I see Ynoa likes to walk guys. Seems like somebody with a shot though.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) Ack, he's a bust...but has some upside for the pen at least. The Sox have acquired other busts and turned them into big time players previously. I don't mind it at all.
flavum
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:35 AM) Such a White Sox minor leaguer to get. Sounds like a project, but hey, it's something.
royoung
According to the mlb.com prospect list, the Sox didn't give up a single guy in their top 20. Haha
ILMOU
QUOTE (shysocks @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 10:31 AM) Post-Laroche DH? It's not that far-fetched to suggest, I think. Anyway, I liked the guy. Props to those who called Phegley too. Definitely won't miss him. And platoon partner for him in the interim was what I was hoping. Crunchella will probably hit 200 OPS points better against LHP than ALaR by the time he's acclimated, dude mashes em' - can't imagine that he wouldn't have destroyed that bandbox in Charlotte, allowing for a midseason arrival. Billy's building another dirt-cheap platoon team, so he can pay some of his pitchers as they mature. Southwest Sider
Ynoa a bust? Dudes just turned 23. Coop'll fix 'em and we just snagged another bullpen piece. Yeah buddy!!! Edit: probably not this year though. Still hasn't cracked AA. Edited December 9, 2014 by South Sider
GGajewski18
Overall I love this trade. Samardzija brings us a solid #2 starter. Ynoa's starting days are likely over, but he can be real good in the bullpen. Semien- trade from depth with Sanchez and Micah Bassitt- could develop into back end starter, best suited in for bullpen Phegley- no future with the team with 5 catchers Ravelo- loved him but no way he was going to play here with Abreu. Sockin
Saw this on twitter and made me laugh. Sox are going to have the two most ticked off pitchers in baseball in the rotation.

Still hasn't cracked AA. 23 year old who hasn't pitched in AA yet and started his pro career in 2010? Yeah he's probably a bust. Obviously injuries are a factor but that's good either. Still, worth the lotto ticket.
