Not to be a party pooper, but are other beat guys reporting it yet? I need to get on the twittah.

Levine should be axed if it's false.

Jesse Sanchez confirmed it as well.

And Melky retweeted a Adam Eaton tweet welcoming him to the south side.

ESPN has it on their front page. This means it is unassailable truth

Did he say anything of interest?

Not really. Stuff we know.

One thing I agree with him though...Danks and Noesi at 4-5 are good enough. They make their starts and put up innings. Until they give the Sox a reason to make a move, they don't need to make a move with starting pitching.

What an offseason - here is a recap of improvements;

LaRoche instead of Dunn

Melky Cabrera instead of Viciedo

Avi Garcia instead of De Aza or Moises Sierra

Samardzija instead of Scott Carroll

David Robertson instead of Belisario

Zach Duke instead of Scott Downs

Carlos Sanchez instead of Gordon Beckham

Hector Noesi instead of Eric Johnson

Now, if there was a way to sign Bonifacio (who kills lefties) as well as trade for Daniel Nava from the Red Sox, we would be one of the favorites to win the American League (if we are not already!).

Unless you have issues with the past PED use, I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't like this deal. We filled our biggest hole with a guy that has been a 2.6+ WAR player in each of the past four years when he didn't have a tumor on his spine. The deal is relatively short-term and covers his age 30 to 32 seasons, so the overall risk is limited. His skill-set is perfect fit for the two hope and he adds more balance to the lineup being a switch-hitter.

Outside of his defense, which is still an upgrade over Viciedo, I'm not sure what there is not to like here.

what will happen after the 2015 season can be address at a later date. what i am

extremely happy going into '15 season, the sox did as much and more than anyone

can ask. this team looks sweet on paper, with the rotation pretty much set, it is

going to be a GREAT season.

that is the first big step, the rest will fall in place.

Don't forget that we will have Jennings and hopefully a fully healed Nate Jones who was gone most of last year. Maybe we'll have even more action to come.

He protects him as a source. Remember, Levine sat on the KW/ TOR CEO story, even when he had Kenny in studio interviewing him.

that is one thing i really admire about the sox, JR/KW show loyalty till the end.

in todays world, that is a great trait.

Jones will be a while. Another reliever, and work on the bench. Who knows, maybe Hahn will get Castro to catch. BTW, Leuri is hitting .338 in the Dominican League.
