GGajewski18
Now sign Andrew Miller.
Baron
Welp that means no Andrew Miller probably. As I posted in the other thread I'm not his biggest fan but it's a step in the right direction.

Rowand44
Sounds like a good signing to me as long as the price tag isn't outrageous, which I can't see it being.

hogan873
Good signing...depending on the money involved. But, certainly a step to solidify the bullpen.
Y2Jimmy0
Zach Duke had a really good year last year. Curious to see the $$ but I love it.
Dick Allen
If it is any more than a couple million guarantee, it is pissing money away.
GGajewski18
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) If it is any more than a couple million guarantee, it is pissing money away. Well they threw away 3 million at Belisario last year lol sooooo I wouldn't be upset if it was that number. flavum
Let's make some guesses... 3 yrs/ 11.5. Too low?
Whisox05
Dan Hayes Zach Duke allowed only eight of 41 inherited runners to score (80 percent) last season. #WhiteSox allowed 32 percent. Needed to fix that. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/534764157372215297

Dick Allen
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) Jesus DA, what did you want for LH in the bullpen? This guy has been horrible for a while both in the bullpen and starting. He has one crazy good year. I read on here don't spend money on the bullpen. REGRESSION is almost guaranteed. It's worth a little money to see if he actually has become someone you can count on, but not a lot.
2nd_city_saint787
Let's hope we get 2012/2014 Zach Duke and not the Zach Duke who was a dumpster fire in 2013....Fairly meh on the signing till I see how he performs.
ChiSox59
QUOTE (flavum @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 11:46 AM) Let's make some guesses... 3 yrs/ 11.5. Too low? That'd be a great deal. Thinking something like 16 over three is more likely. Hope it is closer to 11.5 though. Love the deal. First of many moves I am sure. witesoxfan
I'm good with this. There's a little bit of a Will Ohman feel to this signing, but Duke was really, really good last year and it coincided with him throwing a cutter. GreenSox
Solid He's not strictly situational, which is great.
lasttriptotulsa
It will be interesting to see the dollar figure, but I think I'd rather have Duke at what I am guessing will be less than half the cost and at least one year less than Miller. Dick Allen
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 11:48 AM) I'm good with this. There's a little bit of a Will Ohman feel to this signing, but Duke was really, really good last year and it coincided with him throwing a cutter. His K-rate went from Buerhle to Kershaw. I doubt that continues.

It's worth a little money to see if he actually has become someone you can count on, but not a lot. As I just pointed out, the one good year also coincided with an increased usage of cutters (or sliders) and curveballs. Based on his pitch usage charts, he's not throwing anything straight anymore. cabiness42
I am going to guess 2 years, $9 million, with a club option for a 3rd year at $5 million or a $1 million buyout.
