witesoxfan
http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/...for-assignment/ Just so we can have it somewhere. My initial reaction to this was HURRAH and my reaction after thinking about it for a little bit is HURRAH Also, my favorite Belisario memory was when he gave up all those hits to the Twins because I was at a bar and I was like "this sucks, I've totally been jocking this guys balls on Soxtalk and he's going to blow this save" and then he blew the save. cabiness42
Chris Sale bobblehead day vs the Yankees. Danks pitches and absolute masterpiece for 8 innings and leaves with a 3-0 lead . . .
Dick Allen
3.69 xFIP. He deserved an extention. He actually did have a bit of a hot stretch for a while, but then he got Dylan Axelrod bad.
witesoxfan
I remember seeing him early on and thinking "this guy was a great signing, look at how much his stuff moves." And then everything was up, up, up.

My favorite Belisario memory was attending the Sox-Yankees game he blew after Danks threw 8 shutout innings. Also I kept wanting to put Bottles the Mole from Banjo-Kazooie's head on Ronald Belisario's body and calling it "Bottles the Moleisario" because I think they kind of look alike but I never got around to it and now it's too late. southsider2k5
He just absolutely cratered at the beginning of the season, and when the tried to make him a closer. He was either absolutely terrible, or very, very good. There was no in between.
BigHurt3515
At least he closed down the game against the world champs

Dick Allen
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Nov 20, 2014 -> 03:18 PM) I like that his name is Ronald. After watching him pitch, McDonald would have been a more appropriate last name.
Chisoxfn
I am okay with this, especially with what he would have gotten in arbitration. I do think he's the type of reliever that will have his share of good years (along with his share of bad years).
Rowand44
He wore glasses while he pitched, not a lot of pitchers do that so that's cool.

Soxtalk posters were actually ripping Robin for taking John Danks OUT of a game. Brings a tear to my eye. Andy the Clown
Hey Ron, thanks for your contributions to the Sox, and for not eating all of the food here on planet earth.

SoxAce
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Nov 20, 2014 -> 03:06 PM) Should have taken that bet from Feeky.... LOL . Felt bad for Feeky and wite. Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
My favorite Belisario moment was when he was still with the Dodgers. Comes in to start the 8th inning, 3 run lead... walks the first two guys on 8 pitches... hits the 3rd guy in the back. Mattingly brings in Paco Rodriguez who promptly serves up a go-ahead grand slam... Dumpster diving for bullpen assets rarely works out, Putnam being the lone exception the last few seasons. GreenSox
The Sox have certainly had worse relievers. Good luck Belasario.
greg775
Thank gawd. My gosh that guy was awful. One less stiff on the roster. Keep cutting dead weight guys, Mr. Hahn.
Eminor3rd
I remember when Soxtalk coined the nickname, "Blowasavio." That must have been TUC.
