daggins
Still a good hitter, not a great one, assume he is primary DH. Its just money, so ok.

daggins
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 21, 2014 -> 07:37 PM) Viciedo has to go Possibly. For his career, LaRoche is pretty worthless against lefties. .312 wOBA, 89 RC+. Need someone to spell him against lefties sometimes. Maybe Viciedo, maybe someone else. Vance Law
Oh my. This is pretty darn sensible. Hahn not wasting any time.
flavum
I like how Hahn has hit the "Buy it Now" button on Duke and LaRoche. Maybe a slight overpay on both, but they have needs and they aren't waiting around for the perfect deal.

CWSpalehoseCWS
Hmmm... the 40 is full before this signing. I wonder if there is another move in the works, or will the Sox just trim some more dead weight off the roster?
ptatc
Big lefty from washington named Adam with big power and alot of K's, spent most of the career in the NL. At least it's for only 2 years and less money this time. (just kidding by the way just thought it was funny)
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 21, 2014 -> 06:33 PM) Hmmm...not my favorite signing ever, but shouldn't hurt us. Agree with this. Not a huge LaRoche fan, but it's a pretty reasonable deal all things considered.
Dick Allen
This is nice. Does this mean the Q + prospects for Jay Bruce is off?
Lillian
At this point, the Sox have two guys who will need to be platooned. Both Gillaspie and LaRoche should not face LHP. Most of us assumed that Semien would share 3B, and I would guess that Viciedo would be first in line to take the RH tandem for LaRoche. However, there may be more possibilities to emerge. So the wish list is now down to an outfielder, who now does not have to be left handed, a right handed starting pitcher, and a closer.
