Especially with FAs they'll constantly pop up since they shed a bunch of payroll and are well under where they usually are, I'm sure every agent of every FA is just throwing them in the rumor mill.

If Kris Medlen is non-tendered, why (and I don't know the answer to this) is he not being discussed as a possible cheap alternative for another starting RHP? His numbers are pretty respectable, albeit, he's coming off a major surgery. I understand he might not start right away either, but, might be worth taking a flier on IN ADDITION to another pitcher... can never have a too big a stockpile in case somebody doesn't pan out or somebody goes down.

Was it his 2nd TJS as well? What is with all these Braves pitchers going down?

Wasnt Medlen a reliever? I could have sworn he was setup for them

I always thought he was only a starter, but it looks like they have moved him back and forth. Looks like he might be a starter now

His last 2 full years were pretty impressive. Even if he doesn't end up starting, could be a solid reliever and then when someone under-performs or gets hurt, move to starter. Of course, this all assumes he will be back to form after TJS.

there were a list of players that were release or something. a couple of nanes

on that list sounder interesting.

now having some time, i am looking at the waiver list, i like the idea of getting

Francisley Bueno. I know, it is that Cuban factor.

i wouldn't mind seeing how he does, esp in spring training.
