Beckman should never call in to B&B ever again. What a trainwreck, he basically displayed every trope/cliche that they attack

Somebody in the media/PR department has to know better than that. That's the one radio show he just should avoid, there is zero to gain from it. Any other show in Chicago would be fine.

Rumors swirling that Illinois is backing off of Lovett, thinking that he won't qualify. Man that sucks if true, would love to have him learn for a year (Abrams/Tate/Lovett in that order) then split time with a SR Tate before taking fully over.

Guess we'll be waiting another year for a pg...

What's the deal with Murray? I thought he was going to reclassify to 2015?

That would be unfortunate but not surprising. He goes to night school with that dumb IHSA rule.

63 kids in the last two classes in an 85 scholarship limit world. Amazing.

58 kids, but I get your point. Amazing on two counts: 1) the lack of talent on the roster that Butch has had to turn over; and 2) the fact that he's been able to fit that many kids into 2 classes.

DJ Williams now the 4th best player on Simeon. Has been all year. Illinois fans better control their expectations of him.

And Stevenson sucks.

As I told you yesterday he apparently got benched for the 4th quarter. You've been right about him, just not a good player.

And f*** you!

DJ has always been underwhelming at Simeon, he also has played out of position there quite a bit. He'll be a solid contributor with potential for more, and I'm just fine with that. He's got a ton of skill, hopefully he learns to be more aggressive so that he uses it and can reach that potential.

He should be a monster of a defender at the college level. He'll be fine.

Never heard him described as a top notch defender, nor have seen it, but hope so for your sake.

He has tremendous size, speed and athleticism for his spot. Those guys usually turn out fine with a little coaching even if they never learn to put the ball in the basket.

I'm not worried about it. Coleman-Lands is obviously the crown jewel of the class.

That's the thing, he isn't a poor shooter, he actually has a really nice shot/offensive skills. He just needs to use them and learn to be aggressive. Hopefully he gets there, worst case is he's somewhat like Joe Bertrand.

Losing another top state recruit, this time toe St Johns, could send some Illini fans over the ledge.

Well not just another top state recruit, but top PG from Illinois. Honestly, the only reason Lovett should want to go to SJU over Illinois is because of academic eligibility, dude would be surrounded by talent and would be given the keys as a sophomore (would just have to share with Tate), that has to be a big selling part to any PG.

That said, this staff has missed time after time for a top flight pg, even though the offense should be centered around it. It honestly baffles me that we can't convince a top kid to see the amount of playing time/opportunity that they could have here, it could be the downfall of the current staff if they don't get one in 2016.
