Almost no chance they start Bryant at Wrigley this weekend. I fully expect him to be in the lineup Monday at Pittsburgh

Media buzz is that his defense is abysmal and he has no position at this tiem.

I think Rizzo gets traded for pitching.

They would put Bryant in LF, as there's no way they're trading Rizzo. Russell's playing 2nd tonight, so I wonder if they want to fast track him to the majors and keeping Bryant at 3B?

Baez, for sure, is the odd man out (but how devalued)?

Rizzo's not going to be traded...they're much more likely to package guys like Baez, Schwarber, Alcantara, Almora or even McKinney (although they need another "true" outfielder at some point).

If Bryant moves to LF, then you put Baez at 3B, Castro at SS and Russell at 2B.

I am sure they would LOVE for Bryant to develop at third though. His value decreases a lil bit moving him to the outfield. There are a lot of outfielders who can hit. Get yourself that offensive force out of a third basemen....

Happy "Kris Bryant Day" everyone!!!

I'd be excited too if I was a Cubs fan, but sports radio this morning was ridiculous and unlistenable.

Agreed, and it's going to be that way for a while it seems.

Yep, people are talking about taking their kids there so they could "be there" when he gets his debut. If Kris Bryant fails it will be one of the all time worst.

From ESPN Stats and Info, it's been 73 yrs since a Cub made his debut batting cleanup

Kris Bryant is batting cleanup in #Cubs lineup and playing third base today vs. Padres at Wrigley Field.

I bet he hits a bomb.

Yeah I think that's a good bet actually.

Crazy that he will be hitting cleanup. They have some confidence in his confidence, whew.

Would be like the Ishtar of MLB. Right up there with Todd Van Poppel.
