fathom
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 02:08 AM) Rizzo with a 3 run HR off Folty. The HP umpire has been absolutely brutal in the first 3 innings. Already has missed about 12-15 calls. Can't complain about Doug Eddings ever Not even mad about Cubs winning tonight. Insane pitching matchup advantage

Brian
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 20, 2015 -> 09:41 PM) Jim Deshaies just said he doesn't remember the AJP drop 3rd play One of, if not the, worst color announcers in all of baseball. Not because of the above, but cuz he is very bad. He really adds little to a game and it's awkward when he tries to make a joke and that's even worse than his analogy. fathom
Cubs in good shape to sweep their 3rd four game series in the last four weeks. The Braves lineup is terrible.
LittleHurt05
Had the game on yesterday afternoon, Simmons made a nice play and I told my dad, "Apparently that's the best defensive shortstop in baseball ". Literally the next batter up, he proceeds to commit an error that leads to an unearned run.
fathom
Interesting match-up today with Haren, who can't keep the ball in the park, pitching with a huge wind out to LF against the team with far and away the least power in all of baseball. Since the ASB, one of the best players in all of baseball. Another incredible trade for the Cubs.

fathom
The way this Cubs offense is, they are just incredible if the wind is blowing out. Lots of base runners with a lot of power.
fathom
Just as every replay goes against the Sox, the Cubs continue to get the benefit on so many close replays. The guy blatantly reached over the yellow line...same thing that happened earlier this week with Miggy's homer that was overturned. LittleHurt05
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2015 -> 05:40 PM) Jackson finally helps Cubs win. Braves are a disgrace, they have lost 21 of last 23 on road. Isn't that kind of a conflict of interest? Jackson would get a playoff share from the Cubs, he obviously won't get one from the Braves. This NL Central reminds me of the 2006 AL Central when the Sox finished third with 90 wins.
OmarComing25
Lot of really s***ty teams in the NL, but you have to give the Cubs credit for beating them. That's 12 out of 13 from the Rockies, Brewers, and Braves. Would love if the Sox could have that kind of stretch against Seattle, Boston, and Minnesota right now. How many times did the Sox potentially lose a playoff berth due to the inability to beat last place teams? Those 116 loss Tigers of last decade come to mind. fathom
Another 2 homers in the first for the Cubs today. Seems like everyone in their lineup is currently on fire. Hopefully Cardinals remember how to score, as Cubs/Pirates are quickly closing on the NL Central lead.
