Finished Daredevil.

Finale was just about a perfect wrap to the season. I can't see them waiting 2 years for a second season due to the acclaim.

Is that the plan? Wait two years? To tie in with Cap America 3 or something?

Well they plan on Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist and then a series with all 4 heroes before the next round.

Daredevil season 2 in 2016

New showrunners as well. Not sure how much that will matter.

Really glad they renewed it for 2016 since it wasn't expected. The new show runners wrote some of the episodes, apparently DeKnight had prior committments.

I'm going to have to watch these after each episode of Girl Meets World. Seriously, I do/will watch both.

And was Steve's last name in the show "Fuller"? I get the joke they are trying to make, but I wonder if DJ's dead husband is Steve or someone else.

Not trying to turn this into a bigger discussion, but in the age now of Netflix, where you can marathon shows, I'm finding myself somewhat unfulfilled watching a 26 minute comedy on a week to week basis. Same goes for VEEP this season. Both Silicon Valley and VEEP have been great, but when I'm done watching I have somewhat of a "meh" feeling.

I remember watching the first season of Silicon Valley all at once, and I was late to Veep, so I watched that over like 2-3 weeks, and when I was done with the first three seasons, I was like "Wow, this is really good show."

Maybe it's just me.

I can do both pretty comfortably. I like being able space out shows to one a week, especially something like Mad Men, which I don't think I'd be able to binge on since so much goes on each episode. I love The Flash and would binge on it but am fine with one a week.

But I'm grateful to be able to go through DareDevil and OITNB. Or experience Buffy over the course of a few months like I did last summer.

I think the idea of a 22 episode season should be a thing of the past. There really is no new TV season. New stuff pops up in the Fall, WInter, Spring, and Summer. Cut the seasons down to 13 episodes.

Totally agreed. My guess is the networks will continue doing the Fall-Spring 22 episode staples, in part because they (likely) have an older audience who prefer and are used to that.

There's utility to having both the marathon viewing binges and a weekly staple. I look forward to my Sunday nights with Silicon Valley and Last Week Tonight. Though obviously for the latter you can't have it all debut on Netflix at once.

Silicon Valley has been very funny so far. The second episode felt less forced than the season premiere.

I happened to catch a marathon of season 1 of Silicon Valley during a free weekend of HBO on DirectTV. To me it seems like a combination of Office Space and Big Bang Theory. I enjoyed both of those so I've enjoyed Silicon Valley.

Now I have to figure out how to watch season 2.

From the network's perspective there's also ad dollars to consider. Netflix and HBO are subscriber based revenue generators. They can do whatever they want, knowing that subscribers can watch whenever they have time. Networks don't have the same luxury, even as DVR service and ondemand is becoming more common place. I think that's why you're seeing networks like CBS offering a standalone streaming service.

The ultimate game changer will be getting rid of local blackouts on streaming sports like MLB.tv.

I always describe it to people as a nerdy Entourage.

But yes, I love the show.

I have to admit, I thought the premise of "Last man on Earth" was dumb as hell, but its easily one of my favorite new shows. The writing and acting are awesome.

I feel it's really gotten better as its gone along.nthey keep putting Phil in funny circumstances.

At this rate, the whole world will still be out there though. Ha

Really? I'm kind of the opposite. I feel like it's hitting the same note over and over again: Phil wants to get laid. Phil does something stupid in an attempt to get laid. Phil screws up and gets caught. Phil doesn't get laid and everyone hates him. Someone new arrives. It's still enjoyable, it has funny moments. But I dunno how many times it can go back to that well.

That's kinda how I'm starting to feel. I keep watching to see what's gonna happen next but I don't know for how much longer.

I'm also trying to figure out the apparently unlimited supply of gasoline and edible food and complete lack of bodies and cars on the road. It seems to have been a very neat, quick and orderly extinction.

I dont think its supposed to be a sci-fi premise of 100% realism on the after effects of a deadly virus. It's a comedy and they touch on the lack of food a few times and thats about it. They show him taking gas from a station early on. With nobody else in the world I am sure there is quite a bit of gas to go around which is probably the assumption.

Wouldn't it be that way if it was real? People would be horny? Phil is unlikable as all hell but I still enjoy it.

To an extent, sure. I think the problem for me is they really haven't dug into any other character besides Phil. Everyone else is just a type. Which is fine if that's how the show is, but Phil has to do something else besides trying to get laid. Maybe now that everyone seems partnered up he'll move on.

It would have been 100 times better if this show were on Netflix and the entire season or half season was him wandering around by himself. Then he meets Carol and the end of the 1st season is January Jones showing up. You'd get more comedic value with Forte being Forte in different situations with other things to do.

Carol, btw, was perfectly cast.
