Depending on the outcome of KC-DET, Cleveland could be 8.5 games out of first and 8 games below .500 and is the low mark in the overall AL standings.

Royals probably win if they had Herrera instead of Frasor/Madson.

Madson is back in mid 90s, and Hochevar just came back. Both teams are short in their starting rotations.

If either Verlander or Medlen can come back, thatbteam has the slight edge. KC is also waiting on Rios (end of May/early June).

Cy Chen is back in the show. Indians purchased his contract and DFA'd Anthony Swarzak.

Right on time to face the Sox in 10-11 days if he makes it that far.

How are the Twins 18-13?

Their offense is underrated, I believe they were a top 10 scoring offense last year. All they need is a little bit of pitching to win some games.

Seriously. They need some arms. Berrios looking real good in AA.

If Sano and Buxton are even half as good as hyped, that lineup will be damn dangerous.

I know he is hurt, but VMart looked slower than Paulie in his slowest years yesterday.

He maybe done. How productive can you consistently be with his knees?

He already went through one terrible half-season in 2012 or 2013 (one of those two years) we he didn't have his timing back, like Kendrys Morales last season. Then he came out of it.

He's too good a hitter to just lose it completely, even as this age...but I do believe he's never going to come close again to those 2014 numbers, thankfully.

And he's never going to give you anything on the basepaths or defensively, so his only value comes from that hit tool.

The AL Central has four teams over .500. No other division has three.

And no other division has a 5th place team picked by a few experts to make it to the World Series...when all is said and done, the Indians might have the best starting rotation (1-4 at the very least), the best 2B (Kipnis over Kinsler), not to mention an MVP candidate in Brantley and another dangerous bat in Santana, as well as the best catcher (when healthy) in Gomes.

There are a lot of divisions where they'd be capable of 3rd place, 2nd or even 1st if things broke exactly right (which they haven't...the bullpen, the Gomes injury, Bourn and Swisher appear to be busted contracts, Chisenhall has regressed and Ramirez can't hit well enough to hold down SS in the long-term. They've got some interesting guys like Murphy, Raburn and Aviles who are better suited for bench play on a playoff team.

However, if Lindor's anything close to the hype, that line-up can turn dangerous in a hurry with Santana and Gomes also contributing.

AL Central has 3 of the top 4 records in the AL, and 3 of the top 7 in the MLB. Wonderful.

Yet sports radio and ESPN tells me how the NL Central is the best since Cubs are over .500

Preston Tucker (brother Kyle's in the June draft, everyone loves his swing) of the Astros just drilled his first MLB homer (opposite field even) to tie the game at 5-5 in the top of the 9th at Comerica.

Soria's first blown save of season...also a rare blown 5-0 lead from the 7th inning on. Houston really seems to have something good going on with that team. Will be interesting to see if they can sustain it all season without making some trades to shore up weaknesses.

Cespedes was stranded at 3rd (and no outs) in the previous half inning...
