The Morales/Chris Young production is nauseating. Guys of the scrap heap are the major reason they're on top. And Hosmer.

Moustakas, Cain, Escobar, Perez and Gordon aren't the scrap heap...or Herrera, Davis, Holland, Hochevar, Ventura and Duffy.

You can put Young, Morales, Rios, Orlando, Infante, Medlen, Guthrie and Vargas on that list...of course, those are also all players Hahn had equal access to sign.

Ironic he was voted comeback player in the AL....the Mariners didnt try to keep him, and now they have a pitching shortage again with Walker and Iwakuma struggling and Paxton not as good as last season either.

Why do you think I didn't name them?

Moustakas has 7 more hits to LF this season than he did all of last year. He's become an all-star caliber player.

Took him awhile but he is really coming on.

Jeff Passan @JeffPassan 13m13 minutes ago Jeremy Guthrie is only the second starting pitcher in baseball history to give up 11 earned runs in one inning or fewer.

By any measure, today's start from Jeremy Guthrie is one of the 50 worst in baseball history. His Game Score of -11 is tied for 32nd worst.

Twins and Royals 28-18. Didn't see that coming.

The Twins have a had a pretty easy schedule. Now the Royals are 29-18 while the Twins are 28-19.

Kansas City vs. teams +.500 is 20-13 while Minnesota vs. teams +.500 is 9-11

So Kansas City has played 33 of 47 games against good teams in essence while Minnesota has played 20 of 47 games against above .500 opponents. But the Twins are winning games they're supposed to if they want to be a good team so credit to them.

Anyone keep up with the Twins/Blue Jays game last night? Buerhle gave up 4 runs and 5 hits in the first inning. Then faced the minimum the last 8 innings only giving up 1 hit. Buerhle had 45 pitches after 2 innings, then only 66 the last 7 innings.

Edit: Just saw the Rays are under. 500 now so that means only 17 of 47 games for Minnesota have been with teams at or above. 500.

That's where you take advantage. The has been the Sox weakness for some time.

Verlander might be pitching next weekend against the White Sox.

Made his first AAA rehab start and was shaky and seemingly emerged with his health...was around 92-94 consistently, topped out around 96 MPH.

With Lobstein out, the Tigers desperately need more pitching with Greene and Simon inconsistent.

With us beating the Astros the Twins have the best record in the AL right now. Who would have thought that entering June?

Even more points for being able to name any of the Twins' starters after Mauer, Plouffe and Dozier.

For predicting that Torii Hunter and Kendrys Morales would be the most important FA adds.

Or that Dee Gordon and Prince Fielder would be leading their respective leagues in hitting.
