Took

Hornets -5

Wizards -14

Hawks -8

Pacers +10

Bulls ML

I parlayed each game with each game for a total of ten bets. Since the first 3 already happened I won my bet back. Hopefully the pacers cover or bulls win since I'll win 3 parlays on each.

So much for sucking at NBA betting.

Glad I hedged this.

Illini -3. I have been betting against Illinois for the most part recently (hit the IU ML on Sunday), but I feel like they matchup much better with Purdue than IU. Egwu should be able to stay near the paint, where he is a much better defender. Purdue isn't a great shooting team from the outside this year either (34% as a team).

One of the starters, Aaron Cosby, has been ruled out for Illinois. If you have watched Illini games this year you'll realize that this is probably a good thing. The only thing to worry about is depth now.

4 team parlay came through yesterday.

All ML; took Grizzlies, Warriors, Cavs, and Pelicans.

I'm going to take the Blazers and Clippers tonight at the max teaser amount.

I'd consider avoiding the Blazers since Aldridge is unlikely to play.

Against the celtics?

Thinking about taking the Bucks, Bulls, Blazers, and Clippers at max tease.

So in the end it's

Bucks +1 (1/2)

Bulls +15 (1/2)

Blazers +3

Clippers -3 (1/2)

Parlay.

Always on my mind when it involves Asian or African international matches.

Maybe in domestic leagues (hello, Nigeria!) or obscure friendlies but not in a major international tournament. Those days are mostly over with all the coverage these events get now. It can still happen, and does even in Europe, but I'm not too worried about when it comes to significant events

That doesn't really happen in major internationals anymore with the coverage that they get.

Belize had some players propositioned at last year's Gold Cup against the US.

It could affect the totals.

Propositioned, yes. Players have still been investigated in recent years in the Championship, Serie A, national leagues in the balkans, etc...but coverage is so widespread and thorough now that it's not really something people should worry about in major leagues and events. Now, if you're betting on the 10th tier of English football, or the 3rd tier Albanian league or almost any domestic African league, then yes, you should not be surprised if something comes up fishy

Edit: I'd be much more worried about someone (or official) being on the take in an NBA game today than a major soccer league.

Don't try to tell me that 67-0 and 79-0 games were fixed! Maybe you saw this, but Grantland broke down how rampant fixing is in the Nigerian Premier League just based on how rarely a home team loses.

That's actually what I was referencing

I didn't read it on Grantland but I had read more into that story a while back and just laughed.
